MARCH 11. The March installment of the recurring One Step Beyond parties at the AMNH features live sets by "Uncle Ralph" McDaniels, Slick Rick and Roxy Cottontail. Light shows and cocktails round out the equation. Tickets are $25 and include a future visit to the museum. (9pm-1am; tickets available at www.amnh.org/osb)
ALL MONTH. On Sunday and Monday nights throughout the month of March, this East Village favorite is celebrating feijoada--the national dish of Brazil. The restaurant's version of the stew is made with black beans, smoked pork belly, dried beef, housemade sausage and kale. The deal costs $25 and includes a fennel and heirloom citrus salad and pao de queijo (a puffy cheese bread). Pitchers of Meyer lemon caipirinhas (equivalent to six glasses) will also be offered ($32).
ALL MONTH. Hit the Garden this month to catch the Knicks and superstar newcomer Carmelo Anthony before ticket prices skyrocket during playoff season.
MARCH 14-27. This White Plains restaurant--located atop the Ritz Carlton--is helmed by Anthony Goncalves and is worth the trip. Especially during Hudson valley Restaurant Week (March 14-27), when you can get a five-course, $28 prix fixe meal featuring dishes such as salmon tartare with kimchi and braised lamb shank with Israeli couscous.
ALL MONTH. The rink closes for the season in April, so now's your chance to take one last skate around the ice at Rockefeller Plaza.
