Babies in Bars

You had a baby. It happens. Despite consensus among suburbanites, you're not obligated to shed every aspect of your former self. In New York, at least, you can maintain some semblance of a social life. Just tote your wee one along with you to the pub. Perhaps because it used to be a barber shop--a place where people of all ages can congregate sans judgment--this Lower East Side bar is conducive to socializing, baby in tow. The garden in back is particularly pleasant for parents and their mini-mes.

It's tough to tell what the larger draw is to local couples looking for an end-of-day drink: The homey atmosphere or daily $4 drafts from 5pm to 7pm. Whatever the case, babies are as welcome and buxom babes.
