Editorial Review for Mount Snow Resort – by Citysearch Editors

The Scene
It's close to urban areas and easily accessible. Mount Snow also features good skiing, party atmosphere, rousing nightlife and convenient slope-side lodging. The brash New York/New Jersey scene turns some folks off; it can be a zoo on holidays and weekends, though the crush is never as bad at Haystack.

The Slopes
Mount Snow/Haystack boasts a huge ski complex, served by a modern lift system and is covered by 77 percent snowmaking. This makes up for the occasional shortfall along Vermont's southern border. It's got wide top-to-bottom cruising trails for intermediates on the main mountain, some good tough stuff on the north face, classic New England-style trails on Haystack and the beginner terrain of Carinthia's trail.

User Reviews for Mount Snow Resort

5 Star Rating: Highly Recommended

I think by giving it the 5.7 that you did you TOTALLY dicked the dog. The slopes are awesome if you can Ski Ripcord (37 degree pitch the steepest mogul tail in New England) you can ski any other slope in the country. With four sides to this mountain there is something for everyones style. Mt. Snow Has worked to create some of the best tree skiing in New England. They groom constantly and make great snow. They have many new high-speed quad chairs and they move people quickly. If you think that the mountain is crowded its cause you stuck in the lodge get out and move around. They even have a tubing park for the people in the family that dont ski. If you rated Mt. Snow lower than a 7 you are not seeing Mt. Snow get out of the lodge and look around.

Crowded mountain lacks the big vertical of northern resorts, but packs plenty of entertainment for both singles and families.  See the full editorial review.
