The Scene
When it opened in the late 90s, the garage-like space of Jeodallo looked almost futuristic. Now, with space-age noodles shops popping up like Starbucks, it seems almost quaint. A casual neighborhood crowd dines leisurely at two-tops all the way to the sushi bar in the back, and cartoon-style artwork adds splashes of color.
The Food
Sushi, teriyaki, bulgogi and bibimbap coexist peacefully on the Korean/Japanese menu. Rolls are massive, and though basics like eel avocado boast clean-enough flavors, odd combos like tuna paired with chewy octopus don't always click. Korean fare is iffier: Squid-filled pancakes are a gooey mess, and though pan-fried kimchi and pork singes tongues, oversalting ruins the fiery fun. Surprisingly, it's the least authentic creations that fare best: A raw salmon appetizer ringed with avocado and shaped into a heart may look silly, but the fish's freshness and the generous portions do exhibit some sort of love.
Hits: Once mobbed, the restaurant has cooled off enough that it's easy to get a table when you're impatient for sushi.
Misses: Dish against dish, it's the Korean side of the menu that comes up short.

Not impressed whatsoever. I really wanted to like this place. It wasn't bad, but I'd rather order some chinese food instead...

We love this place- it's always good place to go- it's never crowded so you can bring groups or just go in for a quick bite. It's tasty and never breaks the bank!

I moved to 4th street about a month ago to find myself living next to this place called jeollado. I saw the sign for a $6.95 bento box and I was in the door. Chicken Terriyaki, gyoza, rice, miso soup, salad and a california roll for $6.95. Absolutely delicious. I go there about twice a week now. The sushi is pretty good. Relatively cheap, for example for $5 for the jeollado roll (avocado - salmon outside, crab in) Awesome atmosphere, good music, highly recommended!

Fun Fact:
Though the name sounds like some Bill Cosby-endorsed frozen yogurt, it's actually a region in South Korea.
What to Drink:
The crisp, not-too-sweet Rin sake ($29) accents both sides of the menu well.
The Extras:
Brown rice can be substituted in any dish, but will cost you an extra $2.
