“They have plenty of showtimes of the current hit, the screens are fairly large (if too high off the ground), and the seats are comfortable.”
“Concessions are expensive (and the popcorn is never fresh), and if you're not early, you'll likely find yourself sitting in the awful non-stadium seats.”
“the place isn't very clean, and the employees are rude.”
“huge chain movie theater CAN and SHOULD clean u their act.”
Better than most, by no means the best.. As the first stadium-seating theater in NYC, this was a new world for NYC multiplexes. Before, they were usually dank, dirty shoeboxes, crammed into whatever space could be found. This is still a decent place to see movies. They have plenty of showtimes of the current hit, the screens are fairly large (if too high off the ground), and the seats are comfortable. Sound is usually good, and there are 2 THX houses, a rarity. It's starting to show it's age...the place isn't very clean, and the employees are rude. Concessions are expensive (and the popcorn is never fresh), and if you're not early, you'll likely find yourself sitting in the awful non-stadium seats. The crowd is awful, and if you don't know where you're going, good luck. Still, this is an above average place to see movies, and at one block away from Union Square, likely the most convenient.
8. This stadium has a lot of potential. It is certainly heading in the right direction. It is probably now the first place I think of when I want to see the latest movie releases.
Movie Watcher. This movie theater provides a quality sound system for many, if not all, of the current/hottest movies. The screen may sit a little high and seats fill up quick but that's all the more reason to get there early. One of the main attractions for me is the ease of ticket purchase. Not only do they have a box office but they also provide Moviefone/Citysearch ticket purchases online or over the phone making it very easy to get into the top movies.
not very comfortable. I'm not a big fan of this theater. The seating in several of theaters is ackward and uncomfortable with the screen so high that your neck hurts by the end of the show.
