Zanzibar

Zanzibar turns up the heat in Hell's Kitchen with new signature drinks, a new menu and a new VIP Lounge.
Both the food menu and the cocktails rely on combinations of sweet and savory ingredients to create refreshing dishes and drinks that can be enjoyed while sitting at the translucent, curved bar in the Main Lounge or on overstuffed ottomans in the Fireplace, Garden, and Zebra Lounges. The new Safari Lounge, located on Zanzibar's lower level, features a full-service bar, Champagne cellar, hand-painted wall murals, candlelight, cozy dining banquettes and ottoman seating. The Safari Lounge is for bottle service and private parties only. The house DJ spins energetic music.
Zanzibar hosts happy hour every Monday through Saturday from 5-8 p.m., offering drink specials and complimentary hors d'oeuvres. Group discounts available.

The only thing I can say right now is that Zanzibar is one of the best lounges in New York! The interior design makes me feel like I'm in Africa in a tropical island! I passed by it the other day and i talked to the manager and he told me that they are making a night club downstairs called Jeje and a Paninotecha on one half! I'm so excited for these constructions to be over like this I can once again go and enjoy my self! i highly recommend this place for anyone visiting or living in New York! I LOVE IT!

Had my birthday here--had always wanted to try it. It was all right, but did not live up to expectations. Our waitress was inattentive and it felt like it took forever to get the drinks and food coming. The menu did not seem to correspond with all of the options given online. And I was treated rudely by a manager when I had dropped an expensive wrap on the bench there, and called to see if it had been found. All in all, it was fine, but not great.

This place is really cool for being in Hell's Kitchen. I really enjoy the ambiance and the posh setting, music is very dated and up beat. Prices on drinks are a little expensive, but nothing too crazy
