The Scene – This collaborative effort between the Regency Hotel and eclectic pianist-singer-showman Michael Feinstein makes for one of the city's most unique cabaret rooms. At night, the 540 Park restaurant becomes Feinstein's, with a seating capacity of 140. Tables accommodating four surround the centrally located stage in a moon shape. Heavy gold curtains, rich woods and a state-of-the-art sound system provide a superior experience. Jackets are suggested, not required; though the room's low-key elegance and inherent class will motivate patrons to look and act their best. –…
Beautiful Room, but overly expensive without the Quality.

Wow. Pretty if CRAZILY overpriced cabaret venue. I want to make clear that i have absolutely no problem paying money for good quality, but this is not it. First of all we paid 88 dollars per person for tickets. This seems to be their standard price regardless of performer. A lot, yes, but I had no problem with this. Then there is a 40 dollar minimum at the tables in addition. This will actually be no problem, because they have limited selection, and the prix fix is 97 dollars per person.
Now again, I have no problem spending the money...but.... here's what we got:
A basket of stale, not kind of stale, not somewhat stale, but REALLy stale breadsticks. a soda for 6 dollars, a small mojito for 21 dollars, a cheese plate, served on a small dinner plate, with stale grapes and 8 to 9 pieces of cheese cubes, along with water crackers from a box for 26 dollars, and my favorite a seafood appetizer for 42 dollars PER PERSON! This included, not exaggerating..4 shrimp, 4, clams, some hummus, some flatbread, and some canned crabmeat.
By the time we were done, our three diet cokes, 2 appetizers, and 1 mojito came to 200 dollars. This...is extreme.
The room is beautiful, the performance was amazing. Only go here if you REALLY want to see the performer and they will be nowhere else, the room, while beautiful, is completely not worth it.
- Pros: Beautiful Room, Great Performers, Intimate Space
- Cons: Overly Expensive but Lacking in Quality
A lovely intimate club
by hamlet05
Feinstein's at the Regency is small and intimate with a wonderful sound system. The food is somewhat expensive but very good. The service was good and the atmosphere inviting and friendly. Carlo, the maitre d', was impressive, very attentive to guests' needs, and helped keep things running smoothly. We saw several shows at Feinstein's including New Year's Eve which was lots of fun. Feinstein's is a lovely way to spend an evening and we definitely plan on returning to enjoy some special cabaret performances. We loved seeing Michael Feinstein sing and entertain, and hope to see him again along with other performers in the near future.
- Pros: friendly and fun, romantic, great music
- Cons: a little expensive
Feinstein's at the Regency - Heaven in NY
by mo1207
I was lucky to experience Michael Feinstein's club last year and will always remember how special the whole evening was. I was in attendance to see the one and only Michael Feinstein and from the minute he took the stage until the moment his last ballad was sung, it was like being in another world. The club is beautiful and romantic, the food superb and listening to Michael, well you can only imagine what Heaven is like!
I recommend Feinstein's at the Regency always! Best place in town!
