Best Shakespeare in the City!. American Globe Theatre never ceases to amaze me-- their producitons (including the most recent, The Merchant of Venice) are always inovative, fun, and highly entertaining. Artistic director, John Basil, has amazing ability to make every word in a classical play easily understandable without ever condescending to the audience. AGT seems to be New York's best kept secret, and I feel lucky to have stumbled upon them.
