Friendly bartender, good service....

by kellysan24 at Citysearch

This was our first time to this restaurant. It wasn't very crowded and we easily found a seat at the bar on a Friday night. The restaurant has a friendly "neighborhood" feel to it. The bartender treats like you a long lost friend and recommended some good pasta dishes. We both enjoyed the spaghetti alla vodka and the pesto gnocchi. Portions were satisfying....not too small or too large...but just right.

  • Pros: Friendly staff, cozy & quiet ambience...
  • Cons: Pasta was good but not certainly not the best we've ever had...

Go!

by cazsbt at Citysearch

We've been going to this restaurant at least once a month for over 5 years. We've brought our friends and familly and NO ONE was ever disappointed. Go and see for yourself, their double cut veal chop dish is a winner. The owner is there every night, if you don't like something, tell him, he fix it.

  • Pros: Great Food, Great Bartender, Great Staff

Woud not recommend

by duckygold at Citysearch

I would recommend this restaurant if it were not so expensive. The prices will not break the bank, but the quality of the food simply did not live up to the price of the food.

The dishes are also quite heavy, so make sure you go on an empty stomach.

The staff are very friendly; top notch.

  • Pros: Good selection
  • Cons: Overpriced

not worth it

by lucky2000 at Citysearch

Food was ok, but not worth the $90 tab for 2. There are much better places to eat in NYC for your $$. Restaurant was pretty much empty on a Friday night making for a very dull atmosphere. I won't go back.

  • Pros: nice garden
  • Cons: smoking is allowed
