Editorial Review for Bo Ky – by Citysearch Staff
The Scene
Bo Ky is a Vietnamese no-frills noodle shop with some 30 different soups. Don't expect much ambiance--despite a recent expansion, you may be asked to sit with strangers, and you'll be served tea in styrofoam cups.
The Food
Outstanding soup choices include the chicken curry, which mixes egg noodles with eggplant, potatoes, and fresh lemon, all in a spicy coconut curry broth. Or belly up to the beef belly soup, made with wide chow fun noodles and a thick, beefy broth. Lighter broth soups are available with noodles and seafood, fish, duck, pork, or meat balls in almost any combination you can imagine. Although the menu lists barbecued duck and chicken dishes, you're better off sticking to the soups.

Melodyia – Are you the owner of Bo Ky? There are cheap and good foods everywhere in Chinatown. What so a big deal of $5 a bowl or even less. They serve good Chu Chow Marinated Duck and probably for around 20 yrs. (Traditional Chu Chow style have own secret sauce they use it by boiling and adding more ingredients each day.) I eat out a lot in Chinatown. I usually ask my husband to order take out If I have a craving for those ducks. The waiters there to serve you are insane most of the time, taking advantages of customer who are not the type would bite or bark. If you are not over 6 feet tall and able to bear your foul looking at all time, or in a group of big guys. I suggest you better order a take out and make sure they supply the necessary sauce or dressing for the food you order before you hand them the money. So sorry it sounds ridiculous! But it was the true experiences I have everytime I visited. I am sure many people feel the same way. Bo Ky, if you think you are under charge your customers with excellent food, just rise the price. People only visit for the good food but the absolute rudeness kills the mood together with my appetite.
Pros: Worth a try for Chu Chow Marinated Duck
Cons: Nasty services, insane waiters, make such a big deal of sauces.

vernakular - what are you expecting? it is a noodles soup shop they wouldn't have 'plate' even if they do the plate is too large so wth are you complaining about. sherrieszeto - wth are you expecting for such a cheap price and just maybe you eat like a monster that is why the proportion isn't enough! I have been eatting there for many years and it still taste the good as always. If you go their order only noodles soup or dry noodles which come with a small bowl of soup. Also they are famous for their duck. So either order noodles soup or duck on rice though it might be a tad small proportion so order it with noodles soup which will fill you up more =D
Pros: Tastey noodles soup and Duck plus it is cheap!
Cons: non
