ambiance
100.0% positive
  1. (The restautant itself is really nice too; we've eaten there once and it was very nice and romantic)
  2. this little place has a cute interior decor and affordable city prices.
  3. The ambience is less than special; however, if you're looking for a filling, above-average Thai dinner, this is the place to go!

  1. the pad se ew chicken was delicious, however the pad thai was far too oily.
  2. The calamari comes with an incredible sauce, and the duck noodles are yummy as well.
  3. plus, the food was lousy.
  4. We usually order the peanut chicken, which is just AWESOME.
  5. Some people might not like it because the peanut chicken is a sweeter sauce (as opposed to a sour or spicy thai sauce), but it just compliments the chicken and veggies so well!
  6. My fish was delicious in an incredible curry sauce.
  7. great food for take-out, excellent vietnamese, reasonable prices, however the restaurant is not very exciting to sit and eat, but the food nevertherless is good.
  8. Everything at Sala Thai is tasty and well-portioned.

  4. Both were outstanding, and the portion of pad Thai was huge - we would have both been satisfied with one plate of pad Thai.

Didn't Live Up To Expectations

by caryn donohue at Citysearch

I've heard some rave reviews about Sala Thai, so it was the first place I tried when I moved into the area. Unfortunately it disappointed.

Okay, I must be fair - I just tried the chicken pad thai, but it wasn't very good. I like mine saucy with a nice and sweet peanut sauce. This was fairly bland and dry - just noodles and chicken. Maybe some of the other dishes are better, but I don't think I'll be returning to find out.

Great neighborhood place

by mr_meursault at Citysearch

We came here for dinner with a reservation. They reserved the best table in the place for us. We ordered the shrimp pad Thai and the curry shrimp. Both were outstanding, and the portion of pad Thai was huge - we would have both been satisfied with one plate of pad Thai. The service was generally good as were the prices. There isn't really anything to complain about here. It's not fine dining, but it is good, reasonably priced Thai food.

PEANUT CHICKEN ROCKS!!

by watchmesparkle at Citysearch

My fiance and I literally order-out from Sala Thai at least 1x a week, if not more. We usually order the peanut chicken, which is just AWESOME. Some people might not like it because the peanut chicken is a sweeter sauce (as opposed to a sour or spicy thai sauce), but it just compliments the chicken and veggies so well!! We really like everything we order from Sala Thai; highly recommended!! (The restautant itself is really nice too; we've eaten there once and it was very nice and romantic)

  • Pros: Great Thai food; peanut chicken is amazing
  • Cons: NONE

Yummy!

by manaoin at Citysearch

I love the food at this restaurant. It's very flavorful and authentic! Try the mussels app or any of the curries...as well as their grilled beef with sticky rice. Unbelivable. I order in or eat at the restaurant all the time. Their delivery is quick! The staff is very nice and knowledgable about their food.
