Editorial Review for Forest Park Golf Course – by Paul J. Pelkonen

The Course
Designed by Tom Bendalow, one of the city's most visually stunning golf experiences hit the headlines in 1997 when an unskilled golfer was caught firing balls in the general direction of President Clinton's passing motorcade. Set in the heart of Forest Park, the greens have been lengthened, with the course gaining an additional 200 yards over the years. Furthering improvements, the city even got rid of the old construction trailer and supplied Forest Park with a bona fide two-story clubhouse.

The Experience
You're not allowed to wear metal spikes on your shoes, but you can drink alcohol as you walk from one hole to the next--as long as you purchase your drink on the course. To secure your tee-time be sure to call at least seven days in advance.

User Reviews for Forest Park Golf Course

3 Star Rating: Average

Played Forest Park for first time last week and I was pleasantly surprised. The place was in great shape, and all seemed well until I got to the 1st Par 3 and had to wait 30 minutes. This seems to be common at most of the Par 3's. On approaching the Tee for the 4th whole, I should have turned around and gone home. I soon discovered a practice green between the 3rd & 4th holes. Unfortunately, the two foursomes in front of us were Asian and did not speak English or I would have asked them to hold be on the ground and beat my nuts with a Driver. After 6 hours, I gave up at the 15th hole. I would like to go back and play when its cold out and no one is around.

Pros: Nice Shape

Cons: Hopefully your not doing anything for 8 hours
