In Short – With its red walls, red lighting, Aladdin-style chandeliers and oriental arches, Sway has a cozy, Arabian feel. Everyone is scanned at the velvet ropes by eyes dripping with attitude. This is a huge meat market: The volume of numbers exchanged exceeds the hefty bank accounts of most of the male patrons. There is no cover charge and most of the hip crowd arrives after 1am. – – Hits: Sway is a guaranteed good time, and if you can forgive the stringent door policy, once you're inside it's a full-on party--the kind that may lead to bad decisions and embarrassing…

A great go-to spot
by nycgirl915
I have been going to Sway for the past 6 years, and it is a place I can go to and know I will always have fun. It can get a bit packed sometimes, and they definitely will not let a group of dudes in, but I always have a blast there. The music is awesome and the bartenders are so nice.
- Pros: Good music, drinks, crowd
- Cons: can get a little packed
I Love This Place!!!
by woocrew
Whether it is a quiet Wed night or a Sat night that I want to have some fun, I alway have a great time at Sway. Over the years it has become my home away from home and the staff have become some of my best friends. I love the decor, the music, and the people watching. It doesn't hurt that they serve up bottles of my favorite tequila. The crowd is diverse and adds to the flavor of a place that I already find truly unique.
Come on down!
The Details on Sway Lounge
Know Before You Go:
Going at off-peak times (i.e., earlier) may help you at the door, and as long as you've got a respectable girl-to-guy ratio, you probably won't wait too long. And buying a bottle is a sure thing every time.
When to Go:
If waiting for drinks at the bar and weaving through crowds isn't you're thing, head over on a Thursday night--the party is still in full-swing, but you may manage to snag a seat without dropping $300 on a bottle of Goose.
