lazy, rude and unprofessional. OMG, what a lazy operation. I called to delivery, was told 50 mins. 90 later still no sign of it. I called them to ask where it was and they told me they were busy. They never asked who i was or what my order was, they just hung up on me! I called back 10 mins later to cancel the order and they hung up on me again! I called a third time to speak to the manager and he didn't seem to give a damn. As a first time customer of theirs I know I will never be their customer again. It's a shame because we order a number of pizzas every week and love supporting local businesses. i guess that the big chains just know how to treat their customers better. Shame on you Patsy's

good pizza!. I was there with my boyfriend, pizza was great, especially with extra mozarella, service is good enough for a pizza place in NY. We didn't meet an outrageous server there but everything was nice and on time. the design is lovely but when it's crowdy there is too little space to sit. I would come back with a bunch of friends to try their pasta, too.

Not all NY pizza is better. I dislike Patsy's for its perpetuation of the "turn good food into haute cuisine" craze. In a city famous for pizza, that takes some nerve; while the decor lives up to the pricing, the taste certainly doesn't. At this location in particular, New York's characteristic thin crust is paired with stereotypical snotty waiters.

While I'm not of the opinion that one borough makes a better pie (they all have at least one standout) or that popular places are bad (case in point: Artichoke), Patsy's does not match up to the competition.

Best pizza in NYC hands down!. Lombardi who? Forget that tourist trap... Patsy's is by far the best! I've eaten a lot of NYC pizza, some good, some bad but none as good at this. Also great salads and house wine. Service is fast and friendly and prices are very reasonable. My wife and I both have had pizza all over the world including in Italy and Patsy's still beats out many of our European favorites!... Best in NYC, probably the U.S., and maybe even the WORLD!!!

Great pizza, unfortunate service. Living in the neighborhood, we've eaten here many times and think it ranks among the best pizza in New York. I was disappointed with an experience on Friday night, though. I had a friend coming in by bus from Philadelphia and he wanted good New York pizza. His bus ended up being an hour late and I called Patsy's before making the trek from his bus at 31st Street up to Patsy's at 74th Street and they told me the last seating would be 11:30 p.m. We arrived at 11:13 only to be told they were closed -- this even though there were many tables of people and orders being taken. I asked about take-out and they said no to that also. Unfortunately, we ended up with a not so good pizza from elsewhere. Having managed a restaurant for many years, I feel that it is more professional to honor your opening and closing hours.

not completely kid friendly. we once had a thing for Pasty's, especially this location which is located near central park and a great place to take people visiting the city for the first time. recently however, we went in on a week night when the place was fairly empty. our 9 month old daughter had just fallen asleep in her stroller (which is a small folding stroller) and we didnt want to wake her, for a cranky baby is what we would find, making our meal a total drag. when we told the owner that we wanted to have the stroller near the table he began to argue with us, stating that it was a city law and fire code that prevented us from doing so. after we told him that we never heard of such a thing he gave us some lame story about how he pays insurance and blah blah blah. in the end he was just nasty and completely lying though his teeth. we called 311 to see if this was true and for future eating out experiences and it turns out it was all made up. there is no such code preventing strollers from being in dinning areas. the owner didnt want to fess up to the fact that he was just being unreasonable, perhaps so that we would concede and continue giving him business. after we called to inquire with the city, he just came off as being sleezy and cowardly. ironically when we have seen kids there they are out of control and obnoxious, jumping on the floor, throwing things all over the place and being really bratty. almost as though parents take them there to run wild...that seems more of an imposition than a baby sleeping in a stroller...for outstanding pizza and friendly staff and owners check out lombardi's or grimaldi's in brooklyn.

Great as always. I'm happy to say I moved back to the upper west side and my first visit was to Patsy's I've lived in the area years ago and I can tell that Patsy's only got better!

Recent problems with service. I love Patsy's. I frequently eat at the two near my work and home. The insalata siciliana is delicious, and their pizza is solid. However, there was a problem with the service at this location last week.

Before our food came, we heard one waitress apologizing profusely to a nearby table, because their food was taking so long. Then, our pizza was brought out -- made wrong -- 3 times. The first time, the waitress did not understand the order, and didn't bother asking for clarification. The second time, the kitchen got meat all over the vegetarian side of the pizza. The third time, our waitress disappeared and left a bus boy and a manager to resolve the problem. They didn't get it 100% right, but since they didn't take the initial order, I don't blame them. I appreciate that they tried to help.

The only "help" our waitress offered was our FULL check at the end of this fiasco. She never bothered to utter one word of apology or acknowledgement regarding the many problems. Considering the food is not exactly cheap, this was an incredibly rude end to a dinner that was two pizzas too long. As good as the food is at Patsy's, do be aware of the possibility of poor and uncaring service.
