A champion of DJ culture, music, art and dance, Sapphire boasts a Cabaret License (quite literally, a license which allows patrons to dance), a crisp sound system, dance floor, full bar and backroom art gallery. Long-running weekly Sapphire events like Funk You (Fridays), The New Jazzy Show (Saturdays) and Deep See (Tuesdays) feature talented DJs spinning an intelligent mix of music ? from House and Electro to Rock & Roll, to Hip-Hop, depending on the night. Monthly parties, special events, private parties and rotating art exhibits add to the club?s unique, dynamic atmosphere.
Beautiful place, def for the 22-30 crowd. Drinks were a tasty delight!
Good times! Good music. Decent service. Pretty chill atmosphere. I would go back.
Nice one – Great club! I did enjoy my night out over there; music was fine, the service and drinks were not bad at all. Really nice atmosphere. We were a bit skeptical regarding the door policy though..the first time we went there the line was huge, it took us almost an hour to get into the club. The second time we were 9people and we booked a Limo night out package for like $160 , for 1h limo tour and admission in the club skipping the line (limotournyc) that was a pretty good deal! Anyway I’ll definitely go back there!
Cheesy like a Roller Rink – I went to the Sapphire Lounge for my birthday after reading such good reviews online. However, I was EMBARRASSED that I brought my friends here and left before I finished my first drink. I called ahead to ask about reserving a table and the manager said he would make arrangements for my party upon my arrival and that there was going to be a DJ battle that night. While the staff was courteous, the table I was given was a joke and there was no DJ battle. Given that the bar was practically empty (at midnight on a Friday) it was no great treatment to get a table. The DJ announced my name but it was more awkward than exciting. This place reminded me of a cheesy roller rink and I will NEVER go back.
great staff and music – We were there last night (Saturday) and we such a great night. Danced a lot, had fun with the people there and the music was great!!! A little of everything!
But the best thing was that made it special was the staff. David the manager was great. And the bartender very nice and friendly. Def going back there. We left the place close to 5 am! We were looking for a great girls night out to dance our butt off and we had a blast!
Surprise! Rocked by Shock! – I would have never thought that I would find myself writing a positive review for Saphires but I guess this is why one should never say never.....
I was kind of skeptical going into it because I never particularly liked Sapphires too much because I always thought their drinks were too expensive considering they're served in plastic cups and not only that but I don't particularly care for too much rap either and there were quite a few rap artist performing that night. But anyhoo, my girlfriend had taken me to the show because she said I just had to see this lady called Joya perform. Well, my girlfriend certainly wasn't lying about
this Joya chick, she was freakin AMAZING! Fo' Real! Talk about a power-house voice!!! She sounded as though Mary J Blige & Patti Labelle had an offspring!
Now, I had been there to see her preform but what really shockingly surprised at was just how much I enjoyed everybody else! All the rap artist just had the entire place HYPED... BIG TIME! There wasn't one rap artist that I found to be obnoxiously loud or hard to understand. The raps that were performed where thought provoking, entertaining and not to sound too white or corny, but fun as well. I found myself laughing quite a few times and not wanting to step outside for a cigg cause I was afraid to miss something.
Lastly, the DJ freakin' ROCKED! He kept the entire show BUMPING smoothly. I had actually seen him DJ before and he never fails to impress.(and the fact he aint too hard on the eyes is a plus*wink!)
I can't say enough about just how much I enjoyed myself that night.... and I just wanted to spread the word cause if this unhip lil white girl could love it, I know everyone will.
There's a show the first Wednesday of every month. You oughtta check it out..... I'll meet ya there!
a very intimate spot – I went to the lounge for my birthday. I was given 2 table to accommodate for my guest. It filled up pretty quickly. The music was bumping, playing some great hits. and the Manager was awesome, he was everywhere making sure everyone was having a good time. I'll definitely go back there some other time just to chill and have more fun
Great Lounge! – The lounge is great for private parties, with tables in the back room. They play good music. The manager is extremely friendly and accomodating. Overall, a great place to be Friday or Saturday night!
