“The bartenders are great (and always take a quick break to sing a ditty or two), and the prices are pretty good (for the Upper East side).”

charity -- no deal. Owner promotes his bar as a place where people can earn cash for their charitable endeavors. No dice. He is actually more about dissing his customers when they "complain"... meaning if their order doesn't come in 40 minutes. I mean -- I actually got a lecutre at the bar for this. Don't go here. It's a small, loud, hole in the wall with bad wine and beer.
Fun party. Some friends and I just hosted an unconventional baby shower at Iggy?s recently and it was a huge success. It is a fun atmosphere the staff was very friendly and helpful and Iggy, the owner is a riot, very energetic. He was very welcoming and easy to work with when planning our event. It was no problem when we wanted to add a few personalized theme decorations for the room. Not that you need to, the room is quite festive on its own. There was plenty of space for people to chat, sing and dance if the spirit moved them. The food was really good, and they were able to have healthy options. Many of the guests commented that it was a really fun party, so we came across as party planning superstars, but that was mainly due to Iggy and his staff. So a big thank you goes out to them.
Perfect for a Party!. I just had my birthday party at Iggy's and I thought it was great. Iggy, the owner, was very warm and took great care of my guests. The food was fantastic and the drinks were reasonable. The music selection was very extensive. Iggy's is a wonderful place for a casual party.
BEST PARTY SPOT.
A huge thanks to Kathy for coordinating the event for Guan's 30th Surprise Birthday!! I was searching for a location for a quite a while because not many private event spots can offer food, drinks and most importantly, entertainment. Therefore, Iggy's superb karaoke feature was a big plus to the fantastic drinks and food that was provided.
Everythinng was very well-organized with the help of the staff. The customer service provided was beyond excellent. It was so fun that our group did not even know how much time has passed. I will be recommending this place to all of my friends who wants to have a good time. Once again, we all had a HUGE blast so I just want to say: thank you, Iggy's!!!

Holy COW!!! Great Time!.
I went to a party last night at Iggy's.... We had a blast. DJ Brooke was playing awesome music, and the new karaoke selection was HUGE! Soo many choices! This is by far the best karaoke bar in the city. Kudos to Iggy for making a great bar even better!
You'll be seeing me again soon!

A Buck For Lymphoma & Leukemia Fundraiser. Nothing for Nothing but what's all the hype about paying a dollar to sing a song? I can't believe there is actually a person complaining about paying a lousy buck to sing a karaoke song!!! All that money is donated to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Foundation, it's all for charity! Can't there be peace in this world? Can't people help to make a difference? I think it's a wonderful idea being able to have this in place to be able to give back to community and help those less fortunate stricken by this tragic disease. Enough with the rude comments, keep your buck and keep them to yourselves - the real patrons of Iggy's are very proud to be apart of this wonderful fundraiser currently in place, no one is asking for a kidney- just a buck to help with research to donate to a wonderful cause. My friend was diagnosed with lymphoma and I've seen so many children stricken with leukemia at the Ronald McDonald House down the street, shame on you for your bad comments, you should be grateful that this didn't happen to you or someone you love. Open your eyes to what this world is really about! It's about helping your fellow man, going the extra mile, standing tall and being strong, sharing the love, doing whatever you can to make a difference. By donating a lousy buck, believe it or not, it makes a difference, even more so when it is straight from the heart, if you don't feel that way don't participate, that's all, only a coward posts negative reviews fully knowing what the collection of the dollar is really collected for, shame on you, you can't participate fine, statements like that make one summarize those negative thoughts in one word: Carefree - Definitely not my cup of tea. Can't walk in to the joint at 1 am and expect that there are no other songs put in that other people are waiting their turn to sing too. If you got there earlier you wouldn't have that problem at all.
We had the best time!!!. I don't usually find myself on the Upper East side on a Saturday night, but my friend was having a birthday party at a karaoke bar there. Now I have been to my fair share of bad karaoke bars, so I guess thats why I wasn't so excited about the theme of his birthday celebration. But BOY WAS I WRONG!! Upon entering Iggy's Karaoke bar it was totally packed! After a singer was finished, good or bad the crowd went wild! I have never seen anything like it! The hot DJ played really good music in between singers and kept the girls dancing. It was by far the best party I have ever been to! And then to see your friends get up there and make fools of themselves was just the icing on the cake. Two words: Camera-phone, and YouTube!!! An unforgettable night..you will def see me there again!
won't ever go back.
A bunch of friends and I went for a birthday on a Saturday night. Iggy himself was extremely nice and helped us grab a table even though we didn't have reservations. Other than that, I was very unhappy with the experience. The cocktail waitress commented as soon as we sat down that we should be mindful that she made all of her money off tips - this is nothing new in NYC, and I found it to be pretty rude. The karaoke DJ was Brooke - it seemed that she had clear favorites, and I found her to be rude as well. Not to mention that I put my songs in, waited for 3 hours, and then wound up leaving without having a chance to sing. It may not have been such a big deal if I hadn't had to pay for each song I submitted. Not sure if they do this all the time, but the DJ also played an ENTIRE song in between every karaoke, which is a complete waste of time. Not sure why they didn't try to move it along quicker if there was such a long wait to begin with.
I definitely won't go there again - there are plenty of great dives with karaoke where they don't make you pay by the song, and where they give everyone a chance to get up on stage.
Fun If you are 21 and have seven hours to spare to wait to sing. Way to much of a college, vibe and not in a cool way. No coat check, bathrooms with view of the main area (gross) karaoke as well as strange american pie esque contests, such as " go the batroom, cut ur pubes and wear them as a fake moustuche with a piece of scotch tape, i dont find this appealing at all. When i asked for the coat check a girl pointed to a pile of coats near the stage, again not my thing....drinks are alright, place is packed almost everynight, the only downside is you have to wait a REALLY long time
Awesome Time!. I recently had my birthday party at Iggy's. We had such an awesome time! Iggy and his wonderful staff took great care of me and all my friends. The karaoke was so much fun and the pizza was delicious! I would totally reccommend having your party here - I can't wait to go back soon!!
