Editorial Review for Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) – by Jason Clampet

In Short
If you're coming from downtown or the West Side, Newark is convenient. The airport is primarily a hub for Continental and carriers that can't get enough space at JFK. The AirTrain shuttle between terminals and parking lots also connects the airport to Amtrak and NJ Transit trains running on the Northeast Corridor to Penn Station-New York. All terminals have a good selection of services and amenities, but the best shopping is at Terminal C.

Like JFK, I believe this airport is also far to far away from the population center. Travelling from the airport to downtown Manhattan is painful, no matter how you go. I'd recommend cab...as the train take far too long. As for the airport proper, it's pretty average as well.

Newark airport is best airport in the NY area. You can fly directly to many U.S. airports and International airports. It's easy to get around and Best Yet - it's very quick and easy to get into NY City.

Cons: many destinations, ease of use, close to NY City
