Editorial Review for NYC Discovery Walking Tours – by Nekeisha Alexis-Manners

In Short
Explore the history and architecture of Greenwich Village and other neighborhoods. Or take a theme tour of sites related to everything from art to ghosts. History buffs can learn more about the city's past, but for juicier info, take a biography tour for the inside scoop on famous folk like the Kennedys and the Roosevelts. Tasting and tavern tours whet your appetite as you sample ethnic dishes and discover new watering holes.

5 Star Rating: Highly Recommended

We love history but we also love to eat. We’ve done five tasting and dessert tours with NYC Discovery – Little Italy History and Tasting Tour, Chinatown, Brooklyn Heights, Chelsea, and Greenwich Village – and we will be coming back for the sixth! The food was great and the price was surprisingly inexpensive. What we enjoyed was how the food connects to the ethnic or historical presentation of the neighborhood. These guys are the best. Thanks NYC Discovery Walking Tours. We are on the mailing list for your schedule from now on!

Pros: Staff friendly, knowledgeable about NYC, great food, inexpensive

I have lived in NYC for many years, and still find these to be a great way to spend an afternoon. You get the benefit of knowledgeable, interesting guides, sometimes food (on tasting tours), and the discovery of new or unfamiliar areas of the City. The tours are great for an inexpensive date or solo outing that will be remembered (especially as you confidently navigate through the non-numbered streets of the Village and impress your friends, thanks to walking through with NYC Discovery)!

Pros: interesting staff, inexpensive, active
