Attracting a steady flow of well-heeled patrons, this neighborhood favorite fills up quickly on weekends and smartly accommodates table folk with banquettes in Hershey-bar-proportioned alcoves. Surprisingly well-matched red and orange vertical stripes impart a warm sophistication, enhanced by old-fashioned sconces on the walls and art-deco lighting fixtures behind the bar. Cocktails are excellent and ample; a perfect accompaniment to the uncommonly cute crowd of professional, creative and fashion types that can usually be found here on any given night.

Interesting to see that the reviews describing how bad the bartender was were submitted at the same time. Anyways, I've been to this place several times and have had nothing but good experiences. Friendly customers, friendly bartenders, good selection of beers on tap...I just wish the kitchen was still open!

I read all the reviews on this place and recently met up with some friends there. The music was cool, along with the female dj who was rocking out the tunes. The bartender/mangager was so annoyed by me asking him for drinks that I almost started questioning myself, "am i doing something wrong to tick this guy off"?! uuuuuh.... the answer is no way I wasn't, he's the bartender and it's his friggin job to serve drinks to the patrons!! Geeeeeeezzzz... this guy kept that stick up his butt the whole night too. Almost making it intimidating to approach the bar and buy more drinks. yeah real tough guy...Im a female dude have some f-ing courtesy if someones being polite aaaaaannnnd tipping you!!!

everyone knows this guy is horrible..why do his partners keep him...he looks like he ate a chevy suburban...wears a beret!his impressive physique was out done by his rudeness and poor service...workers apologize for him...thats insane...no wonder there was nobody there on a thursday...i havent ever been this dissapointed at a bar...cursing at customers...what a tough guy...built like a pear...with 6 necks

When to Go:
The bar gets pretty slammed by midnight on weekends, and although there's never a line, you may wish you were stuck outside when it gets too crowded. Get there before the rush to stake out a table or a spot at the bar.
Know Before You Go:
Although Black & White is equipped with a kitchen, food is no longer served.
The Extras:
There is no formal patio, but those in need of a nicotine fix tend to congregate in the recessed, smoker-friendly area in front of the bar.
