If you are looking for a colorist, Brittany is BRILLIANT. I wouldn't trust anyone else to color my hair, I absolutely love her.

I never write reviews, but this time I felt i should mention Brittany. I've been searching for a great colorist and stylist for awhile. I go to these salons and just feel like another customer sitting in their chair. Varin has been a different story though, Brittany has been awesome. Her coloring skills are fantastic and the past two months people keep complimenting me on my hair and color. I don't look washed out anymore. My hair has felt a lot healthier too, it doesn't feel dry or anything. My boyfriend has even talks about how soft my hair is. Total plus! If there is anyone looking for a new salon... go to Varin and definitely schedule with Brittany. Actually, switch and try this place because I think you'll be so pleased. My experience has been awesome and I feel like I've found my go-to salon and stylist!

Loved my hair cut by Riccardo...would highly recommend him to anyone and the salon overall is outstanding. I have since gone back for highlights with Theresa and they are outstanding. I get so many compliments on my cut and color...so happy!!

I have been going to Aurora at Varin since 2008. I moved to Boston in 2009 and Miami in 2012 but continue to only get my hair cut when I am in NYC by Aurora because she does such a great job. Everyone at the salon is incredibly friendly and nice. I highly recommend it, it's worth traveling thousands of miles for!

I have basically followed Lauren around for the past 4 years because she just gives me a great haircut. I have pretty thick hair and I like a long layered look but I also need my hair thinned out and Lauren always manages to do it just the right way and my haircut looks great and I always get compliments. Everyone at the salon is very friendly and it's always been a great experience.

Ricardo's Keratin Treatment. Ricardo is like a sculptor as he works each strand through the keratin treatment process. The first two times he used the flatiron in the usual way. This time, I wanted to keep some waves -- without frizz. He used curling irons instead of the flat iron. Unbelievable. The hair I've already wanted!

FINALLY i have found a consistently great stylist:
Lauren at Varin Salon has never failed to make my hair look absolutely GORGEOUS! In the past, my hair has been a challenge for stylists because its thick and unruly. I have had more than my fair share of rush cuts/blow-outs to keep on schedule, which is very disappointing after you shell out top dollar for a cut and expect to come out looking like a million bucks. Lauren always makes me feel comfortable and takes the time to make my hair absolutely perfect. I honestly have never had a bad cut from her, and I have changed the length and style of my hair numerous times. I even tried, and was pleasantly surprised by, chunky bangs - a style I haven't rocked since I was a toddler. She has a great eye and somehow manages to incorporate my "vision of the month" into something that compliments my bone structure, hair type and personality. So glad I found this girl...!
I really can't recommend this salon and Lauren enough. My hair looks great the day after I get it cut, no waiting 2 weeks for the "shock" of the cut to quell. Everyone at Varin is warm and pleasant, the environment is calm and beautiful, and last time I was there the shampoo girl (a total sweetheart) gave me an amazing head massage! I was almost lulled to sleep as she was doing her shampooing thing. Its little details like that that make for a wonderful, come-back-again experience. A+ sylist and salon.

ps. I feel like this sounds like an ad or something, but just look at all of the other reviews giving the same 5 stars. They validate the authenticity of mine. This place is awesome. I'm writing it b/c this place and stylist deserve it.

I love the varin salon!. For the last 10 years I have be going to the Varin Salon They are simply the best in the city. For color, blows & cuts. I wouldn't go anywhere else . Judy does my blowouts & Teresa my color. Totally professional & classy. I also must mention the amazing shampoos & neck massages. I have sent so many of my friends here & they also have had a great experience.
