Editorial Review for Thalia – by Citysearch Editors

In Brief
Befitting its Theater District locale, the 5,000-square-foot dining room has a dramatic motif with rich woods, wine cabinets and hand-blown glass perched on a backlit display. Tables are comfortably spaced, while the soaring columns offer a bit of privacy. The menu offers pan-seared seafood, roasted chicken, steak frites and a variety of pastas.

My family and I ate there before a recent Sunday matinee. Given how expensive brunch has gotten, it is refreshing to find one with meals under $15 that include juice/mimosa. While there are better places at twice the cost, it was a refreshing, plesant way to start the day on Broadway. Interesting dishes included a fine crab meat and asparagus omelette, vanilla french toast and great banana and strawberry pancakes. Highly recommended for a reasonable brunch spot in midtown!

Pros: Resaonable brunch, some different menu items

Cons: Staff a bit young, but pleasant.

I went here for Restaurant Week so I got a cheaper deal. The portions are pretty small, but that's what you expect for fine dining in NY. I enjoyed the drinks and the service was impeccable.

Pros: Very nice atmosphere and great location for Theater dining

Cons: Expensive
