I love this place! I have been going to this restaurant for at least 3 years, service is great, waiters have a lovely French accent, and the food is delicious, love the ambiance, dim lighting and there is a garden, great pre theatre pricing for appetizer, entree, and dessert (that they light on fire). This place is absolutely greta and when dinner is over you get a post card that they will mail, to anyone you like! Must try the Mango shrimp salad!
My favorite french place
Every time I go there, I love it... the ambience... the staff... the neighborhood... and the food... love the mussels of the day... just really a good bet for a great meal, and then you can spill over to all the greatest music venues in the city!

The Scene
Bearing a rustic look and a chalkboard full of specials, Le Pere Pinard (whose name means "Father Wine") attracts a number of expatriates conversing in French with the bartender and waitresses, as well as the kind of people who know how to sit at the bar and sip a cafe au lait or pinot noir with repose.
The Food
Along with a fine selection of wines, which extends to ports, champagnes and authentic variations like vin chaud (hot red wine flavored with orange and cinnamon), the dishes here are excellent all around. A beet soup special is bright and hearty, and the mussels, prepared with tomato, onion and bread crumbs, are a flavorful, buttery-soft delight.

Arguably one the best restaurants in the city. Beautifully prepared plates of food. Impeccable and attentive service. Delicately balanced flavors that will satisfy both sophisticated palates and novices. Unparalleled selection of fantastic wines.I will definitely come back again.
