Barneys is back downtown.. Barneys addicts know Co-op as the floors where you can score deals--well, as long as $150 for a T-shirt is your kind of deal. Focused on the younger, trendier, edgier customer, Co-op's now grown into a freestanding store in its own right, with a minimal, airy space (also used for the warehouse sale). 3.1 Phillip Lim dresses, Marc by Marc Jacobs bags, J Brand jeans. The wheeled clothing racks have the designers' names displayed prominently, so no more searching for your label of choice.

Awesome denim & coolest stuff!. I buy all my denims in either CO-OP or Barneys uptown. They usually have the trendiest style & brands. Some brands you might not have heard of but the style & fits are amazing! My boyfriend & I are always browsing for the latest & coolest stuff here! The only drawback is that CO-OP and Barneys is not for everyone, paying premium for the latest style is not in everyone's budget...but worth it for the fashion conscious!

More staff training is needed. Seriously. I don't know about this location, but i love the one in Soho. Some of my favorite brands at one place.

however, some staff are very very unprofessional and rude!!! I suggest that, if u don't want to be irritated by annoying staff and u are shopping in Soho, you go to other similar stores like Language or Scoop. Ppl at these stores seem to be so much nicer every time.

If the Staff Would Only Vanish. Cool ultra-trendy clothes, prices that aren't outrageous, and an interesting, if sometimes bizarre selection, draw the serious shopper. But please fire 90% of the staff, who seem too busy admiring themselves to possibly be bothered to help a customer. Strangely, a few staffpeople are quite nice and professional; the rest should resign in shame...don't go expecting to be treated well; expect the worst and you might be pleasantly surprised.

Jeans and T-shirts!!. The service here is lovely and helpful - makes me much less concerned about spending $120 on a damn tee-shirt! (But I love it!!)

Hit or miss. You gotta hand it to the people who run Co-op, they're not afraid to stick their neck out and make a statement. Sure, they sometimes fall flat on their face with some of their selections, but sometimes they hit on the right thing. Take for instance their focus on track suits by Addidas and Puma for men. It's fun, it's hip and it's perfect for the body conscious men of Chelsea. Though the peasant blouse thing for women is an idea that just needs to go-- it's so unflattering on some women. Reminds me of that women from that great grape stomping episode of "I Love Lucy." The real reason to go to Co-op? A great selection of beauty products for men ... from Nickel, Kiehls, Lab Series and more.
