The Scene – Inside, the restaurant feels almost tent-like. Entering the candle-filled space is like opening the doors on a gypsy hideaway. – – The Food – The traditional and interpretive tapas throw a sharp focus on the definitive themes of Spanish cuisine. Few styles of cooking place such an importance on texture--baby eels in a sizzling slick of oil, for example, is nudged just a shade away from pasta by the crackle of tiny bones under your teeth. Good Outing

The mood at Pipa was warm and casual. The variety and the quality of the Tapas menu was very good. The service was good, however it would have been more pleasurable if the servers smiled and had been a little more attentive at the beginning of our meal.
They had live flamenco music and a dancer. They were entertaining but it was difficult to talk when they were performing. However, their short sets allowed diners to pay attention to them for a few minutes and then return to their table conversations. I think if they worked on the acoustics that would have provided a better ambience.
Overall, I enjoyed my meal at Pipa and would recommend it to my friends.
I love this place.

Fun Tapas
by shert
Favorite place for Tapas. Love all the chandeliers in the restaurant, it's always fun picking out which one you wish you had the money to buy. The food is outstanding! Stuffed Piquillos, Calamari (amazing!), scallops, shrimp, patatas la brava, crab croquettes. Calamari by far the best though. Sit long enough and the manager may just buy you a pitcher of sangria to get you to move to the bar. haha
- Pros: atmosphere, location, food
