Best Spanish Tapas I've EVER had. Every single tapas dish that we had, from the octopus to the assorted meats and cheeses plate, to the absolutely delectable shrimp in white wine and butter sauce, was above perfect.

They sell chandeliers from the store next door, which are lit and on display for potential buyers as well. I highly, highly recommend this place and can't say enough about it.

Good Food but was the sangria just fruit juice?. The chandeliers are cute but after a while it seems weird that there are so many. The food was good however they need to relax on the garlic. Good thing I went for Brunch… We ordered the pitcher of sangria which between the two of us we had 3 glasses each. I would normally be a little buzzed off of 3 glasses of sangria but I did not feel a thing.

At the end of the meal the waiter just placed the check in between us and didn’t even ask us if we wanted anything else… Drink? Dessert? The place was empty and it wasn’t like people were waiting for our seat. I would have ordered a marg!

Overall I am glad I went but I would not go again. Just felt like I was at my grandparents house and not out in NYC.

Nice experience but not rushing back. We went to Pipa last night with another couple. Our table was ready promptly for our 7pm reservation. Early by city standards. The place was packed when we left around 9:00. The restaurant is truly gorgeous. The seating is tight but that doesn't really bother me. I felt that the service was good. Not overly friendly, but whatever. I don't need my waiter to be my best bud. He was attentive and brought our food out consistently. The reason why I will not be rushing back is because I felt the food was just ok. Yes, certain dishes were very good such as the Hongo Flat Bread and the Piggy Back Dates. But I've had better elsewhere. The calamari which I had heard so many good things about was grossly oversalted and greasy. The cheese plate was tasty but it's kind of difficult to mess up cheese. The sangria was ok. Too sweet for my taste. I will say that we were pleasantly surprised when we got the bill - 1 pitcher of sangria, 2 beers, and 9 tapas later our bill was only $145!!! That is a steal for a nice dinner out in NYC. While I enjoyed my evening I feel like there are far better restaurants in the city to spend a night at.

Amazing tapas. If you are looking for delicious tapas, Pipa is the place to go. I orgered about 9 different plates with my aunt and not one was a dissapointent. We wished the plates kept coming and coming but our waistbands were tight and of course with tapas, like sushi - you order a bunch of things and then it ads up at the end.

It's a bit loud, service was slow but it was totally worth it i would 100% go back!

Good Outing. The mood at Pipa was warm and casual. The variety and the quality of the Tapas menu was very good. The service was good, however it would have been more pleasurable if the servers smiled and had been a little more attentive at the beginning of our meal.

They had live flamenco music and a dancer. They were entertaining but it was difficult to talk when they were performing. However, their short sets allowed diners to pay attention to them for a few minutes and then return to their table conversations. I think if they worked on the acoustics that would have provided a better ambience.

Overall, I enjoyed my meal at Pipa and would recommend it to my friends.

Fun Tapas. Favorite place for Tapas. Love all the chandeliers in the restaurant, it's always fun picking out which one you wish you had the money to buy. The food is outstanding! Stuffed Piquillos, Calamari (amazing!), scallops, shrimp, patatas la brava, crab croquettes. Calamari by far the best though. Sit long enough and the manager may just buy you a pitcher of sangria to get you to move to the bar. haha

Out of this world food and drink. I had dinner at Pipa on Sat night for my girlfriend's birthday. There were 6 of us girls and we ordered a bunch a tapas plates. Let me just say that EVERYTHING was scrumptuous. Everything had a robust, unique taste; most things simply were melt-in-your-mouth amazing. If you go, you must try the Veggie flatbread, the calamari (best calamari I've ever had, hands-down), the wild mushrooms, at least one three-cheese plate, and for dessert, the Bomba de Chocolate. You MUST have the sangria as well. It is phenomenal. The best part besides the food? Totally reasonable prices. It came out to about $50 a person for everything, 3 pitchers of sangria included! I've never spent so little on such a fantastic meal.

Another cool thing is that because it's tapas, you can order a bunch of plates, and if you're still hugnry or want to try something else after you've started eating, you can keep ordering and the food keeps coming, in a timely matter no less. The waitstaff was attentive without being obtrussive. The ambience is great. It's dark, beatiful, and cozy. My only other recommendation is to make a reservation and make it a few days in advance if you want a prime time. It was so crowded, I can't imagine getting a seat if you're just walking in off the street.

Pipa is definitely worth your time and energy!

Ambiance abounds.... I love this restaurant for it's fabulous ambiance, delicious food and the sangria, oh the sangria. I eat here 2x per month and work for a very high end luxury fashion company - book lots of reservations here for our "C" levels...they love it too...

Except - I just called to make a reservation and they didn't have anything available so I was trying to talk to the "host" about options and he was soooooo rude - in fact, he hung up on me before I was finished speaking. Guess he's too busy to care about customers since they are so booked up. If the owners or anyone of significance reads this, try to talk to your people about being rude on the phone - you never know who you're speaking to... ; )
