Editorial Review for Mount Abram – by Citysearch Editors
The Scene
Just six miles from Bethel, Mount Abram lives happily in the shadow of Sunday River and caters to a different clientele. Most skiers come from surrounding towns, and they come for the quiet, even quaint atmosphere that sets Mount Abram apart from larger resorts. In fact, if there were an award for the New England ski area with the fewest pretensions, Mount Abram would sail away with it.
The Slopes
How many ski resorts name trails after characters from Rocky and Bullwinkle cartoons? Incidentally, if you think the trail named Rocky's Run is for kids, think again. This double diamond is best left to flying squirrels.
