Mulberry's best lunch. Very friendly place, homely decorated, but the food is of the charts. Great food and large portions, but the price doesnt reflect them, they have very moderate prices. Servers are very friendly and place looks very clean, with some minor decorations this can be one of the top Mulberry's spots, but since is always packed, I assume it already is
Bad Service So-so Food. I went with a girlfriend of mine from out of town. This place was highly recommended by a co-worker, and the city search reviews were good, so we went. It was overall a disappointing experience. The waiter was initially very friendly (a little flirtatious) to us, but when he found out that we were sharing a main course, the service made a sudden cold turn. The pasta dish we ordered was not impressive at all. I've had much better Italian dishes in NYC and on Long Island. Although the restaurant was only half full, no one came to ask us how the food was, and no one came by to refill our ice tea (or at least ask whether we need another one or not). We ordered a dissert, which took about 20-30 minutes to arrive after we were completely done with our dinner. After we signaled to the waiter for our check, we waited for another 20-30 minutes before the check finally arrived. The waiter may have sensed our unhappiness with the service and told us that the ice tea was on the house, which was nice, but it did not change the overall unpleasant experience. I was a little embarrassed as a host and regretted taking my friend there.
great food, atmosphere and service. Ate here with family. Food was delicious and affordable. Al dente pasta! Service was excellent. Small restaurant with a casual inviting atmosphere. Would highly recommend for lunch or dinner.
Great Authentic Italian Dinner. I love Italian food...and Amici II did not disappoint. I loved the feel of this restaurant and the service was excellent, from the waiters and their recommendations to the owner coming around to make sure everything was OK. I went with my parents, and I ordered Spaghetti Carbonara. The dish was excellent, the prices were affordable and I would highly recommend this classy Italian restaurant for anyone!
Great food & wine. Went with a group of girls on a shopping trip. We had great service an excellent food. The Host reccomened a wine that we all loved. Can't wait to go back next year.
Great place to eat foods great and it's a fun place too. Excellent place to eat My wife and I went into the place next door Benitos 2 and they had rodents running all over. I must say at first we were scared because this was right next door but I must say this place is great . It's truely an italian rest ran by a real italian family and they treat you like family the food was great. I had spedini romano for appetizer and linguini white clam sauce then I had veal marsala and a fabulous tirimisu for desert the place is an all around winner
SORRY WE WENT. CONCERNED UPON ENTRY, ONLY MEXICANS COOKING IN THE KITCHEN (NO OFFENSE) AND ONE ITALIAN WAITER (PLEASANT). PASTA UNDERCOOKED, MARSALA SAUCE TASTED LIKE BEEF BOULLION, CHICKEN OVERCOOKED. DIPPING OIL GOOD, CALIMARI GOOD, SOME OF THE PORTABELLO MUSHROOMS NEAR SPOILED, RUINED FLAVOR OF THE OFFERED SPECIAL. WOULD NOT RETURN. I AM ITALIAN ,RAISED ON REAL ITALIAN FOOD. THIS PLACE DID NOT CUT IT. WENT HERE BASED ON PRIOR CITY SEARCH REVIEWS, SORRY, BUT DISAGREE WITH THE REVIEWS GIVEN.
Editorial Review. Italian restaurant specializes in lobster dishes; menu consists of pasta, veal, beef, seafood and more.
Love It.. My fiance and I adore this restaurant. We have been here a handfull of times and every meal is wonderful. On our second visit, the staff remembered us and seated us at "our" table. The atmosphere is warm and friendly. The staff are attentive and welcoming. The food is to die for. We have been to other restaurants in Little Italy and this restaurant by far has the best tasting food. The portions are enough that you will be full and satiated. Almost everytime we go out to eat, we go to this restaurant. Try it, you won't be sorry.
One of many on Mulberry Street.... After about 30 minutes of pacing back n' forth on Mulberry Street.... we gave in to the owner who politely reeled us in. My friends and I shared the fried calamari and stuffed mushrooms. We also ordered the salmon penne (lots of salmon!), lasagna (lotsa meat!), pancetta pasta (too much white sauce!), sausage bell pepper pasta (greasy), chicken parmagiana (very thin and burned) and I had the ravioli (great). Overall, we had a good dining experience b/c the service was great. It was funny that they played the "Godfather-Whacking" theme song. But again, I'm sure you can find the same quality food next door.
