RUDE! STAY AWAY!!

I have never seen a place with such service!!!! Bad, bad, bad!!!! Beware of this place! They charge you for drinks that you have never order. It happened to me and my friends on two separate occasions. The rude waitress/bartender said that we must have been confused!! Well my friend had only had two Molotov cocktails, and the waitress made us pay for 3. What happened to customer being right?? I understand being confused when you have 5-6 cocktail but not 2!!! The waitress messed something up and made us pay for it. Half an hour before that, our friends were leaving the bar and guess what happened? They had 2 extra drinks on their tab and the same RUDE waitress was trying to convince them that they were wrong. Never going there again!!! For $200 that we spent there for 5 people that was some way to treat its customers!!!

Sghetti "Jherk" Jam

So me and my girl go in on a Sunday as we have an occasional habit of doing -- we love the spaghetti and meatballs there so much. We order two drinks, the tortilla chips and want to share the spaghetti. 20 minutes roll. We ask where our chips are, the waiter leaves and someone comes 5 minutes later with the chips. 10 minutes roll. We ask were the sghetti is and one dude says they had a fire in the kitchen but that they will have it in 10 if we wait. We wait 15 minutes then some dude shows up with chips again. im like "no, we want our sghetti not chips, we had those already while ago" hes like "talk to a manager". im like "why?" leaves, then Caribbean Queen comes over says, "oh we had a fire in the kitchen, do you still want your meal cuz it will take 15-20" im like "uh, someone promised that before and was supposed to bring it long ago, you could have told us it was not gonna be ready for nearly an hour. Thats too long now. Its 930 and we gotta eat and go home so please comp these chips and well pay for the two rum and cokes and go.I mean, chips cost nothing, but they do cost like 9 bux here." shes like "oh no, nobody else asked for anything why should you?" im like "uh...wait a minute, we are not everybody else, we are the folks talking to you right now, this is a huge inconvenience and we are going home hungry." shes like "well, its an inconvenience for us that the kitchen be broken so it no matter you are inconvenience" I could reset the kitchen on fire now..."listen, im walking outta here. You just lost yourself a loyal customer." shes all "jherk" chicken and says "we have plenty customer." No tip.

wow. i guess i'll miss the food if i dont go back. just hope its one of the cool folks next time.

Neighborhood gem!

Daddy O is a great find. Fantastic food and drinks with specialty cocktails, amazing food and late night service. I am obsessed with the bartenders, they're extremely friendly and good to their regulars. I lived across the street for two years and still miss the chicken sandwich!!

Daddy-NO -- avoid this place

I am shocked that this place is still open when there are so many other good choices in the neighborhood for a drink. I recently dropped in randomly with a few friends for a drink and went to use the bathroom before ordering. While I was gone, the bartender yelled at my friends that the restrooms were for customers only and that we had to order a drink first so that we would be "customers" (which they did). A few minutes later, one of my friends (a petite girl) politely confronted the bartender about his rudeness, the bartender flipped out, started yelling and shining a flashlight in her eyes, and physically pushed her out of the bar (this guy was big and buff and clearly in some sort of 'roid rage). When I asked him to calm down I received the same treatment. I have had better experiences at the seediest dives around the city. I love Po and it especially disappoints me that Steve Crane would tolerate such terrible behavior from his employees. Avoid.
