First I have to say, I have never wrote anything about any place of service. Never felt the need to. But this was the worst experience I've ever had dining out. The waiters were rude and seemed annoyed from the moment we walked in. We should have left then and there but figured, we're here already. Plus, we've lived in NYC our whole lives, so we're used to it. We got quickly led off to a table and the waiter just walked off. We got asked twice, "what are you drinking?" after we had already ordered drinks. Not to mention my husband's glass of wine never came. We finally got menus and ordered our food. There was plenty of other rude and curt interactions from the waiters but I don't want to get into it. And it wasn't just one of the waiters, it was the entire wait staff. Horrible! Finally the food arrives and it looks pretty good. I ordered potato crusted salmon. My husband got the linguini with clams. After a few bites of my salmon it seemed a little off. I asked my husband to try it. He says," it's kind of mushy and powdery". Exactly, I eat salmon once a week (literally) and I've never had it like that. I tried it from the center and then I noticed a sour taste, so i stopped eating it. Then my husband says, my plate isn't that great either. The pasta was all dried up and hard. So he just ate the clams. After we got our food, they never once stopped by our table to check on us or even refill water. We just asked for the check the left. We didn't want to leave a tip but we decided the right thing to do is leave a tip and just not come back again. I had stomach pains the rest of the night. The worst valentines memory we'll ever have.

We deceided to try Positanos and were upset because the entire dinner we were forced to choose between upgrades the waitor kept suggesting. In fact my husband ordered a hot antipasta to share and the waitor suggested one for the table and then proceeded to bring us 5 individual antipastas and charge us 70 dollars. We had friend s there and it put us on the spot. We also ordered soft drinks but the waitor kept insisting that we order wine and went through and extensive after dinner drink list. If you want to spend a lot more than you expect go here,,, they will upgrade about 150 dollars at the least.. Will not recommend to anyone...

I decided to take a chance on this rest. due to great reviews but was shockingly dissappointed with my dish but overall decent cozy rest. Of course everyone cant agree on everything but my dish "chicken over the brick" was a recommended dish but it came very dry and bland. It was so bad i barely touched my meal and i paid for it. My date had the ravioli which looked great. Besides the chicken the overall ambiance was great and expect a older older crowd. The service was very good which is always a plus. Just dont get the chicken!!!! to be honest not sure if I would go back there again...
