The Scene – Sometimes a Flute is just a flute. And sometimes it holds champagne--lots of it. The Flatiron's triple-decker boite, designed with grown-up riffs on primary colors and a miniature "Chocolate Box" room (wrapped in a silk bow), appeals to youthful playfulness, albeit with distinctly adult perks. – – The Draw – One hundred and fifty champagnes (20 by the glass) are just the beginning. Among the more unusual offerings is a sparkling pear wine (made from 300-year-old trees) that's russet-colored with a dry, subtle flavor. Downstairs is the sceney spot for…
Best Happy Hour
by dTrent96
I stumbled in last week after work and lucky me, it was happy hour. How they manage to do buy one get one everything on the menu and still pay the rent is beyond me. All is know is I will be there every Tuesday. There selection is abundant and the staff is friendly. I expected them to be a little stuffy because of the area and kind of lounge, but the atmosphere totally unpretentious and chill. Great place. If I had a girlfriend, I would definitely take her.
- Pros: ambience, great staff, awesome happy hour
- Cons: I don't have a girlfriend to take next time.
A Comfortable, Upscale Evening - Crazy!
by dougsr
My friends and I stopped at Flute for drinks before heading nextdoor to Gramercy Tavern. We ended up having so much fun, we decided to just stay and have food and drinks at Flute. I can't believe I'd never heard of this place before! The champagne cocktails were so inventive, and the food was great. Chic atmosphere, friendly staff, great experience all around. We'll definitely be back.
Great Lounge!
by natharris1
I'd heard about Flute Gramercy from a business associate and decided to meet a potential client there this past Wednesday (Jan 16) . I was immediately struck by the cozy, intimate, upscale yet laidback vibe. Addind immeasurably to this vibe was a superb jazz trio of unusual instrumentation - guitar, keyboards and flute!
The service was great and I highly recommend this lounge to everybody!
