“The atmosphere also did not make up for the overpriced and pretty terrible food.”
“GF products (breaksticks, cookies, etc.) are wonderful and they have a few different GF beers available.”

“The risotto was undercooked, the horrible wine was overpriced and although the service was good, the risotto was pretty tasteless and the food matters the most.”
“have been GF for a little over a year and have not found a lot of really tasty options - this place is fabulous!”
“there seem to be a lot of complaints on here about the service, but i went to risotteria the other night and the waiter was polite and attentive.”

“It's a small space but the crowd turns over pretty quickly so its not a long wait (they do have a counter you can sit at while you wait), and the staff is fairly attentive.”
WORST SERVICE IN NYC. I don't even know where to start! I brought a friend from out of town and was completely embarassed. First we were told the wait was 10-15 minutes and then FORTY-FIVE minutes later we finally sat down. Our waitress was extremely rude and completely unprofessional. She dropped off utensils that were still soaking wet (so gross). We had to ask three times for water. And then every time she dropped off glasses or plates she would drop it down extremely hard on the glass table and just walk away. It completely ruined our dining experience. Even though I enjoyed their risotto many times in the past, this experience made me decide that I would never go back again. Do not waste your money here.
Great Gluten Free and Regular Food. Found a listing about this place online and decided to check it out while in NYC for the weekend. I have been GF for a little over a year and have not found a lot of really tasty options - this place is fabulous! I ordered GF pizza & GF beer, and shared GF breadsticks & GF dessert with my husband - I was STUFFED but it was worth it. It felt so great to eat "normal" food again. My hubby ordered regular panini and GF beer. He thought the panini was a little tough, but overall very good food. It is a little pricey (but most GF foods are...) and cramped, so it's best to hit it at off-peak times and be prepared to treat yourself. :) They are starting a mailorder/internet service soon, so maybe those of us outside of NYC can special order the GF foods! Yum!!
THE BEST RISOTTO!!!. I went here on a saturday night and it was moderately crowded and i was there for my birthday and i ordered the gruyere and green onion risotto and the olive puree pizza which tasted better than traditional sauce and cheese pizza and then afterwards everyone should take a walk to magnolia's
Simple is the best.
A cozy small space with friendly waiters. Food is always excellent and inexpensive.
Don't stay there too long because people are waiting at the bar. Just enjoy eat and go!
Wonderful Food - Gluten Free or Not.
My wife needs a gluten free diet and this is the best GF food she has found. The rest of the family loved the regular pizza and it reminded me of the kind I could only find in Rome.
The space is cramped and the prices are rather high, from a New Orleans viewpoint, but we enjoyed the food and found the service to be friendly and helpful. It's also in a great neighborhood which just begs to be strolled through.
Worst Restaurant Experience in 6 years.
I was in the restaurant with my GF last Fri., not so many customers at that night. we ordered 2 cokes, 1 pizza, 1 special risotto add calamari(remember, it's "add").
After I had some of my coke then I noticed there is a lipstick print on my glass. I call the waiter, and you know what he did? he didn't give me a new one, he only swith my coke to another glass!
Second, my risotto is coming only with calamari(remember "add"), the waiter never say sorry and repeat "you said you want add calamari..."?
OK, forget all above, we just want eat something, so we kept the wrong order and asking for pepper, finally he brought a piece of "PAPER" to us.
This is the worst experience for 6 yrs in new york. stupid and rude waiter, nothing care manager...
Undercooked Rice for 13 dollars. I've only ordered delivery from this place, but what you get is undercooked rice for 13 dollars, plus they charge you a delivery fee. Never again!!
A small spot serving a vast array of risotto..
In Short
Though it's more of a takeout and delivery operation than a sit-down restaurant, Risotteria does offer eight small tables for those who want to savor their risotto hot off the stove. Risottos are classified here based on the variety of rice, from the highly-starched arborio to the creamy carnaroli. Slabs of prosciutto, Italian sausage, pork shoulder and other meats, all of which can be added to the rice, wait behind the counter. Panini and salads are also available.
marygrace. This restaurant is great, although I'd love to know what the other two gluten-free friendly places in nyc are. . . With the menu here clearly designating which items are vegetarian and gluten-free, there are many, many choices and no fear. Service was attentive, but not overbearing. A simple place with good food!
Glorious and Gluten FREE. There are 3 (count em!) 3 gluten free friendly restaurants in NYC. Now, you can have gluten if ya want, but this place went to the trouble of actually listing on their menus gluten free & veggie dishes. The wait staff was very helpful and friendly, the risotto is DELISH, (and don't miss the coconut gelato) ample in size and not outrageous in price. Ambience is not romantic, pretty casual, but that would not stop me from going back!
