The Scene – This hotel, which opened originally in the early 1980s, has gotten a recent facelift. Hotel creator Ian Schrager re-enlisted the hotel's original designer, Andree Putman, to freshen up the rooms and public spaces. Never again! Not even you paid me!

I stayted here one night. I wanted to create a romantic atmosphere for me and my wife. There are no words to describe what an awful experience it was. The hotel needs to be COMPLETELY renovated from top to bottom. There are terribl;e smells everywhere and the furniture inside is not even worthy of Ikea. And the walls are about as soundproof as a piece of paper. My view was of the building about 10 feet in fron tof us. Not worth 500$!!! Not even worth a penny!
Never, ever again. I have stayed in Motels better than this!

- Cons: everything else plus smells bad and terrible (or no) views!
