  1. The service was friendly, seats comfortable, nice outdoor view, and great selection of beers from Belgium to Brooklyn.
  2. Horrible food, good beer selection, lousy staff
  3. Great pizza and burgers, excellent drinks and 80 different brews.
  4. For a pretentious downtown area this bar retains a exceptional beer list and a great food menu for very moderate prices.
  5. One of the best beer selections in NYC.
  6. After being kicked out from pretentious and pricey Brandy Library (my bankers, lawyers and media friends werent "cool" enough to be served drinks unless they post $500), we went to this place.
  7. However, happy hour is now from 5-6PM, and drinks are ridiculously overpriced (I was charged $9 for a watered down Jameson's).
  8. If you're looking for drama, overpriced drinks & gossip, well then this is the place for you

Grab a drink at the bar, as the food is nothing special. Wings are above average.

Tribeca Tav

by ScottScottScott

Tribeca tavern's sweet. They have all kinds of beer, the wings were awesome and there are also a lot of hot chicks at the tav, but when they beat you at pool, it sucks.

Seriously, this bar is the coolest. Don't waste your time at the lame hipster bars in the area. no fun and too expensive.

  • Pros: beer, pizza, wings

Cool Night In Tribeca!

by JamesHest

I met some friends last week in Tribeca, and after going to some lack luster and over priced bars in the area we arrived at the Tribeca Tavern. I always thought of my self as well educated when it came to beer, until I came here. This place had over a hundred different beers. The bartender put me on to a new beer they were serving there called Racer 5, I was shocked about how good it was. The pizza is amazing! and the kitchen is open all night. Cool place to go grab a few drinks and even shoot some pool. Definitely recommend it.

  • Pros: pizza, beer selection

Read The Fine Print

Until recently, I'd frequent the Tribeca Tavern for a few cocktails after work. Initially, it was a place of enjoyment- happy hour until 7 PM, great music selection and interesting people to chat with. However, happy hour is now from 5-6PM, and drinks are ridiculously overpriced (I was charged $9 for a watered down Jameson's). Mixed drinks are $8 and up; beer is $5 & up. The internet jukebox is constantly taken over by the Cheech Marin looking bartender, who loads it with tons of country music (if you're into country music, then this is the place for you). Once a place for young professionals to unwind after work, it’s now the gathering place for barely legal college students (The Art Institute is a few blocks away). The service has gone downhill. The wait time for a drink is about 20 minutes, which is partially due to the sophomoric "Cheech" wannabe bartender, who spends more time gossiping vociferously about every patron, than he does pouring a drink. Despite the neon sign screaming "Eath & Drink" lunch has only recently made an appearance, being served from 12-3 PM. The food is typical pub food. Want a hot meal? Go someplace else. If you're looking for drama, overpriced drinks & gossip, well then this is the place for you . If not, and you're just looking to unwind- skip this place. There are a few places around the vicinity I'd check out instead.

  • Pros: Wide beer selection
  • Cons: over priced; pretentious gossiping bartender

recession proof

In a time where money is low so are these prices. The happy hour is exceptional. pitchers are only $10. For a pretentious downtown area this bar retains a exceptional beer list and a great food menu for very moderate prices. The staff is fast and friendly. The crowd was very diversified, made you feel right at home. One of the best beer selections in NYC. Also one of the only places that serves food past 2am.

  • Pros: Beer list and friendly staff
  • Cons: small bathroom
