In Short – Upstairs from the Kraine, a serviceable off-off-Broadway theater with an excellent track record, is the KGB bar. Continue up the stairs and you'll find this smaller, darker, even depressing performance space. Best suited for monologues because of its size, the claustrophobic space must compensate for its gloomier aspects with decent sightlines for its small audiences who sit in uncomfortable chairs.
