After everything was over, this was a wonderful experience! Anthony, Judy, Tyrone and Selena are tops! Unfortunately it took a few turns to get there.

If you're having a large group be aware that they will charge your card a deposit - that's right, not a credit card guarantee, and actual charge. This made things very awkward for the person coordinating our function of seven women. Two days before our appointments she was informed that they wanted $750 to guarantee the appointment. They ultimately accepted $500, but still. Also, they didn't coordinate the appointments properly which resulted in us being 45 minutes late for dinner reservations.

Although the processes were very good (4-stars), I think we'll be trying another salon the next time we have a large party.

Convenient location but horrible experience. I heartily agree with the May 15th review. I had a 4:30 appointment for a manicure and pedicure today. When I arrived I was told I would have to wait because they were short one person today. As I waited I watch them take walk ins first. THey appeared disorganized but in truth I don't think they cared very much because I was told the manager was not there. I was taken 45 minutes after my appointment. As I was leaving I spoke to the manager. She told me that she was told I had arrived late for my appointment. I told her I had not but she was insistent. I asked to see the person who said that. She answered that it wasn't important and she would "make me happy" and give me a free mini manicure in the future. I said that did not make me happy because I did not like being lied about and I felt it was important that someone said I was late.

So first they say they are short staff.

Then they change the story and say I lied and I was late.

Given the prices they charge and the competition in Manhattan, I would strongly suggest going somewhere else.

I second this. Almost my experience to tee. Except I was call a liar. Not an enjoyable experience.

Think the good reviews seem to be from 2009. Things must have slipped badly. Time for updated reviews.

Don't go!. This is one of the most ill managed spas I have ever been to. It is unorganized and is not much more than a glorified nail parlor. I had an appointment booked and had to wait 30 minutes for my pedicure!! They seem to take any one who walks in and those of us who book get the short end of the stick,(other people were waiting as well). The service was ok - but not worth the money. The place is out dated, not well kept and needs a complete face lift in regards to decor, treatments, management - you name it. Save your $ and go where its worth it, not here.

Facial made me beautiful!. The facial I recieved was the best I have ever experienced. I, honestly, felt like a new woman, looking at myself afterward. The esthetician was gentle and comforting. And what a job she did!

The manager was so sweet and courteous, it was like being around family. She even slipped me in for a mani/pedi after I commented on how great of a job they looked like they were doing on other clients. Acqua is definitely going to be my new oasis in Manhattan.

Acqua Beauty Bar needs to be checked out!

Cure the Winter Blues with a Massage!!. I went to Acqua Beauty Bar for a 90 minute hot stone massage...and I think I've found my regular place now! I've been getting massages all over the city for the past 6 years, and never really loved a place until now...everything from the level of service (the massage was AMAZING!), to the extremely relaxing environment (the music, the massage rooms, the dressing rooms) definitely makes me want to come back...very soon!

by far the most pleasureable nyc spa experience. i attend spa's on a regular basis and there is just something about this particular place that makes my experience here unlike any other. If you are looking for a night out on the town or just dinner with some friends this is the perfect place to prepare for your night. The atmosphere and staff are unbelievably helpful and friendly. The offered services cover all the imaginables and so much more. Not only do they offer all your typical spa services but the level to which the services are performed is truely unique. I have been going here for years and i can honestly say i still look forward to coming every single time.

Facial-Mani-Pedi-AMAZING!. I, actually, just went today for the first time following a friend's recommendation. It was worth it. I received a facial, manicure and a pedicure. I was very happy with the results of all three services.

First, I want to comment on the management. The woman at the front desk is so cordial and hospitable. She made me feel right at home. I didn't have to wait after my appointment was confirmed; I was directed right to the facial room. The tech that did my facial was gentle and skillful. I came out feeling ten years younger, like my face was that much more vibrant and youthful. I've been getting complements all day.

After my facial, I came out for a manicure/pedicure. The technician who did my fingers and toes was professional and sweet. I was so caught up in her personality that I didn't even realize she had finished. When I surveyed her work, I was ecstatic. Well, as ecstatic as you can be when you receive a perfect mani/pedi.

I will be back, soon! Acqua Beauty Bar is going to be my exclusive spa from now on and I can't wait to try out their massage therapy!

A Great Place to Spend Your Day. I had the pleasure of visiting this spa initially for a massage - which was amazing. It was so relaxing that I fell asleep! And I felt limber and relaxed for the next two weeks!

The next time I went back, I got another massage (great, again) plus a manicure and pedicure. It was one of the best I've ever had.

The atmosphere is tranquil and the staff is super helpful. Check this spa out before you gamble on any other one in NYC!

An Amazing Massage and Waxing. I will continue to come in to see Judy and Lee. I loved everything about the spa. The moment I walked in was greeted very nicely by the concierge Desk. I had the unforgettable 90 minute massage and the best brazilian By Lee. Look forward to go back im due for another massage.
