“My friend ordered the Huevos Rancheros - basically overcooked scrambled eggs over canned black beans, a stale tortilla and zero flavor.”
“The food was really overpriced for the quality (and we were charged more for one item than was listed on the menu).”
“It's a great restaurant”
“the staff was rude, especially our waitress who said we couldn't come back if we were going to split our checks again!”

Dismal Brunch. A recent Sunday brunch -at 4pm the restaurant was open and serving and was comfortably occupied, after the brunch rush. Food ordered at 4:15 arrived OVER 1 HOUR LATER despite regular queries to the incompetent but pleasant server. One diner's main course was missing, which lead to our summoning the "Floor Manager" and then the "Manager". The missing hamburger took another 20 minutes to arrive (how long exaclty should it take to provide a burger in a working kitchen???) leading to additional frustration. The Floor Manager's hostility was exceeded only by the Manager's rudeness -- he actually accused a 10 year old kid at the table of "making faces at him from accross the restaurant" and insulting him!! Shameful!
Good Clubbing scene.
I have never dined here so I can't say anything about their food. But I came here numerous times after 12AM for their music and clubbing scene.
Somehow it is predominantly Asian crowd with a mix of theirs as well. Drinks here are standard NYC club price and small. But it is free to get in and they have a cool balcony and music is decent.
It is a perfect after party spot and I always come here if I don't have fun somewhere else.
Rude staff, decent food.
I wanted to like this place, I really did. When I first walked in, it looked really cool. There's a nice big waiting area with a nice fireplace. And when we were seated, it felt like we were really outside, in a park (gee, I wonder where they got the name?).
Because I was here for a birthday, we had a somewhat larger party (13). Still, there was really no excuse for not having any sort of server come to our table for 30 minutes. After someone got the hostess's attention, they sent a waitress to our table. Now I'm sure she was already having a somewhat bad day because she probably had a bunch of tables in the section, but hey, she was going to automatically get 18% from our group. Anyway, she was pretty rude. I'm going to try to avoid making this review sound like a rant.
I ordered the breakfast pizza. It was excellent. It probably is the sole reason why this review is 2 stars and not 1. After a couple more issues with our waitress, whose tone regarding an order with food allergy implications did not please someone in my group, thus prompting a visit from the manager, we were given drinks on the house as well as dessert. It was a nice gesture, and almost made us forget about the rude waitress (who we decided must've been an actress since she had such theatrical explanations for everything). In all, we probably took the place for close to $200 in free stuff, but it was the least they could do.
Anyway, I don't think I'll be going back to this place, but maybe your experience will be different.
My girlfriends and I Danced the Night away!!!. Convenient place to go afterwork with friends/co-workers to sip on martinis and dance the night away upstairs.
Warning! Unsafe. Ended up here because we were looking for a quick bite to eat after an event nearby. Had to order a burger twice because the first one came out way overcooked (I had ordered medium rare). The second burger came out nearly raw - a good indication that the cook doesn't know what he/she is doing and is overcompensating. Even more problematic was that it wasn't initially clear that the meat was raw because it wasn't red and slightly bloody like it should have been. It was BROWN. That was enough for me. While we were waiting to leave, another table across the way was "entertained" with a mouse running around their table. Go there if you're B&T and don't know better, but if you value your health, you really need to avoid this place at all costs.
Food was fine but left feeling a bit ripped off.
We walked in off the street for brunch, we got seated right away and the food was fine. We ordered the French Toast and the egg white omelet. In perusing the cocktail menu, I was trying to decide whether I wanted to pay $8 for a glass of beer. Then I noticed that on the front of the brunch menu it said $7 for a beer. I decided that although $7 is a lot for a glass of local beer, it was NYC after all. so both my husband and I decided to order one with our meals. When the check came, it listed the $8 price and when we pointed it out to the waitress, she said, "I don't know what it says on the menu, but there's only one price for beer here, $8." I told her to please check the menu and out of principle, I expected to pay what was listed. She said she would discuss it with the manager.
Eventually she did come back with the adjusted check, but with no apology or anything. She just slapped it down and said, "Here, I changed it" and walked away. We left feeling mildly irritated, which unfortunately tainted our overall experience. That said, the room was lovely and the food was good enough for a second visit. From our experience and other reviews I'm reading I think that the owners of this place need to address their management and hospitality issues.
I just had a really amazing time The food the drinking the.

Check your credit card statement for overcharges!. It's unfortunate that I have to give this restaurant such a bad rating as the dining experience was fine - tasty brunch, good ambiance & nice interior. Didn't have a problem with the restaurant until I received my credit card statement. Basically, the statement showed an overcharge tip of $25 for a $40 meal. I called the credit card company immediately & they informed me that it is the restaurant that actually inputs this information. Now I wonder how often this restaurant makes these "errors". Left a message with the restaurant & still waiting for a return call...very disappointing and also wonder if I was just one of the victims of their scams. I want to give them the benefit of the doubt that this was a genuine accident, however, their non-response convinces me otherwise. I wanted to go back to try their dinner but since they couldn't even bother to call to apologize, it only proves to me they could care less and at this point, I won't be returning. It's a shame that they practice such unethical behavior and don't even take the initiative to quickly remedy the problem.
This place is Terrible. The atmosphere was nice as the night when on after we ate and drank a rodent ran out right next to where we were sitting. We went to the manager and told him and he did not apologize nor did he remove anything from the bill. He acted as if this was normal.Besides that the service was slow and the food and drinks are over priced and just the fact that they did not even aplogize...I would not reccomend this place. NYC has sooo many other nicer places to go to.
B&T Crowd. B&T crowd comes in since it's right next to entry points into the city. If you live in the city it's not exactly the easiest place to get to, you have to cab it.
