One of the top spots for drinks downtown, the smart and sexy Thom Bar was recently re-designed. The swank new interior features luxurious chocolate brown couches, a large site-specific mural by local artist Gonzalo Papantonakis, a candle-lit fireplace, and a little croc skin here and there. In a word: chic.

As always, Thom Bar attracts a mix of fashion and art industry insiders, jet setters and stylish locals. Don't miss the specialty cocktail list (particularly the Thom, a potent vodka-based riff on the mojito) and the tasty Asian-inspired bar menu, available until 2 AM. All the fare comes from the kitchen of the acclaimed restaurant Kittichai, located downstairs in the hotel. A rotating variety of DJs spin nightly for your listening pleasure so sit back, order a Thom and enjoy.

We went here after going to a restaurant near the area. It was a nice relaxed lounge with good music in the background. Was able to get seating for most of the evening. The bartenders were great and attentive. It's a good spot to bring your date to after a nice meal. Nothing but positive things to say.

Pros: Great Lounge

Cons: None

5 Star Rating: Highly Recommended

This review is in response to the review below mine called "rude, rude, rude" . I booked a party here and the service was excellent and the food catered by Kittichai was fabulous. Clearly you don't bring your own cake and utensils to a bar unless first speaking with management....i mean come on what is this a beach family barbaque....it's very clear to me that this person wanted to have an upscale party without the price tag. Wake up and smell the catering etiquette. You wanna play then pay up! Sorry don't mean to be rude, rude, rude but lets call a spade a spade....you were being cheap. I think this is a great lounge with great drinks and food and i hate for it's reputation to go downhill because someone was too cheap to consider what the proper etiquette is to having a party.

Pros: Catered food by kittichai is amazing.

Cons: Parking is tough in the area.
