We had done the chain restaurant thing in Times Square the night before and wanted a good only in NYC place and after walking all around Times Square/ Theatre District and passing literally 100 restaurants or more we settled on Hurley's. The waiter was really hard to understand and I'm pretty well travelled. We were given the upstairs menu even though we were seated in the downstairs dining room, where you can certainly hear patrons speaking bar room speak. We have a 9 year old. We were last to be seated at 7 45, only other table was leaving as we came in. Other spots in the neighborhood were packed as you looked through the window, you can't tell at Hurley's until your in the door. Nothing on Upstairs menu for a kid and when the waiter finally came back and we asked for the other menu, he would not give us one and said you can have, fries, moz sticks, chicken tenders. Wife seemed to be able to understand him. I think he was afraid if we saw the other menu we would both opt for the $10 burger. I went for the Swordfish with Mango sauce, baked potato and the Lobster Bisque. Wife got Chicken with Champagne Sauce and Mushroom & Bisque, Kid got sticks and Fries. Back in the beginning as we were going in a smoker said "I always recomend the burgers" he said. I guess that was really meant as a warning. Bisque was OK if you were hungry (we were). Service the whole time was very spotty, we were never asked if we wanted another drink. Out came the swordfish. Just aweful. Not even remotely close to hot not even warm. Not sure it would have been good if they actually cooked it. Baked potato was hot enough, some cold spots, but thankfully edible as the fish was not. Chicken was fair to midland. Ok for cook quality, no chef would put that out. The mozzarella stick and fries were excellent. BOTTOM LINE is from our experience Hurleys is probably a nice nieghborhood place for a few beers & a burger or wings with your friends but FINE DINING IT IS NOT. Very edited 4 space

I love Hurley Burgers, you definitely have to eat one on an empty stomach or else it will not fit. Good crowd during football games, only thing is the bartender is a Steelers fan, GO SKINS!!!!
