food great but service
by 421turk
WAS TERRIBLE! I was there with my mom for her birthday on July 23, and our server (server #3, female, there was on name) was so obnoxious. When we politely asked for larger plates like the ones used for our entrees, she snapped that there wasn't any available. When we asked (in the middle of our entree) where our side dish was (that came automatically with the entree), she replied "eh, sometimes they like it, sometimes they don't..." with no apology and was then rude when she finally did bring it. It was even more unfortunate because my mother and I are Turkish and she was, too, so we hoped that that level of camraderie would exist, but alas....anywya the food was great, the meze being the best of it all, and the expediency of the chef was just right.
- Pros: good food
- Cons: , no desserts, small tables
MEZE BABY yah!
by jab287
great food, great flavor, ok value. Stick with the cold meze, all tasty fav's were:
EZME, fresh feta goat cheeze with walnuts, Roasted redpeppers walnuts and harissa,
mussels with pine nuts black currents was different and very good.
My friends were crazy for chicken covered in sweet walnut/garlic sauce.
Baby eggplant in yogurt - pretty good,
chick pea balls filled with currants, nuts and other stuff - good but a little sweet
Hot meze were ok -overpriced for what you get. The meat triangles had 2 on the plate and were ok,
stick with the cold meze - we ordered the chicken kabob ($16) and the lamb kabob ( $17) - small portions and not worth the prici
for dessert: shredded wheat with honey, walnuts and pastachios - YUM
order the cold Meze, and dessert. total bill for 4 with booze $165
Wed.nite is loud: get table AWAY from the band
- Pros: Cold MEZE, dessert, service
- Cons: , hot meze, bartender- rude
