In Short
The Harrison's all-American comfort food took a turn for the refined when chef Amanda Freitag, formerly of Gusto and Cesca, took over in 2008. The room is still big and lively, and the menu aimed at a local clientele looking to eat well and simply, but Freitag's imagination goes to singularities like duck fat french fries with malt mayonnaise or an English-cut loin chop (similar to Keens' "mutton chop"), as well as textbook standards like arctic char with chanterelles and a very fine lemon-and-garlic roasted chicken. The food is sane, stable and well-executed, and the service meant to be friendly and informal, but briskly professional.

Great night out! Went with a few friends who I hadn't seen in a while. Had a few drinks at the bar and was treated like royalty!! (great martini's!) At the table service was great and the food even better. I had the beet salad, and have been trying to replicate it ever since! And the lamb was to die for! I am looking forward to going back soon!!

A friend of mine has been under a lot of stress lately so I wanted to take him to a relaxing place and cheer him up. It worked! The food was lovely and the place was pretty but the servicer was rude which got me down. Another thing...... when I called to make reservations for 8pm the receptionist said they were booked up and could only seat us at 7:30. However the place was a quarter full all the time we were there. So I guess the food and place is pretty but I can't say much for the service.
