“will definitely go back again - the staff is friendly and professional, the salon is clean and comfortable, and it's convenient for me.”
“So, I got a really nice cut and highlights, and little sugar cookies while I waited!”
“First, the positives: the staff is friendly, and clients are served tea and a cookie upon arrival and receive several product samples upon exiting.”
“Jeffrey was conservative with his cut- that is, didn't take off more than I wanted him to- which was a breath of fresh air.”
“The diverse salon staff are extremely friendly and there is never a trace of attitude that you can sometimes experience in NYC salons.”
“The best place in the city to get a great cut and be treated like a friend visiting you home.”
“Nobody was pushy about selling me styling products or other services, they simply told me to come back in 3 months for my next trim, which I'll gladly do!”
“The staff was great, and made me feel right at home!”
“am a normal person who likes a little bit of trend and a good value.”
“went to an expensive salon last week to cut my long straight locks.”
LAICALE IS THE BEST IN TOWN! And YAZ is amaaaaaaaaaaazing! After having cuts, color, perms and Brazilian keratin treatments in pretty much every high-end hair salon in town, I'm so happy to have found this salon.Thank God I don't have to put up with the impersonal and pretentious services offered at B&B and Cutler, to name a few. I walked in and was warmly greeted by the girl at the front desk who seemed genuinely happy to help me. Apparently, genuine smiles were replaced by botoxed fake smiles offered by highbrowed sales people who think that being nice equals being poor. I decided to get a Brazilian keratin treatment and they accommodated my appointment within a couple of hours without making it seem that they were doing me a favor (another behavior that is way too common in this city). YAZ, the professional who treated my hair was by far the BEST professional I've seen in NYC and I actually just registered at Citysearch so I could tell people about this place. Stop supporting pretentious service! Don't waste your money on professionals who only care about their Jersey Shore celebrity clients. NYC's vibe is being ruined by these pretentious people who believe that expensive purses and highbrows will get them respect or self-esteem. Assume who you are! Stop hiding behind labels and Louboutins. Know the value of things not their price. Know your values. Don't give in, create and recreate yourself. Support real professionals who care, not useless rude people who only work so they can be at the next NYFW backstage. Stop the BS! FIGHT THE SYSTEM!
The dream haircut by Sara.
Laicale is a wonderful New York City salon, ambiance, people, service make you feel special..
Sara is the best..every time I go there she takes such a great care of me!..she is so talented and professional, so even when I don't know what I want she does the perfect job! she is very dedicated to her work and you can see that it's her calling.
In laicale you can feel that people really care about their business and their clients.
The Best Hair Stylist in the Best Hair Salon - Sara.
I would like to recommend my hair dresser/stylist, Sara. She is at the Laicale salon. She is amazing! The atttention to
detail and understanding if what a person wants is worth the $$ to my opinion.
Never was disappointed and I'm there every 3 Months for the last 3 Years!
Easy Chic Hair!. Just had a wonderful cut with a stylist named Anthony or Albert..yikes, can't remember now. Anyway, great salon and vibe and the price was perfect - $90 or something for a great massage and cut and blow dry.
Jesse is found at Blackstones!!!!!!. Looking for Jesse Blodgett? He's now at Blackstones! I'm not sure what I would have done if I didn't find him, he's been cutting my hair for 6 years!
GLORIOUS Shiny HAIR. Ok so I have been going here since the early 2000's, Fabrizio has been rocking my cut like no one else. He is so precise and takes his time and makes me feel special. He's Italian and warm and caring and sweet. Oh and my hair is so healthy and looks so shiny I think because I go regularly and keep the shape maintained. Twice a year I also get a one process gloss shine with his sister Sara, she uses a natural color that looks like my natural color. They are all so friendly and cool and easy.
I liked Laicale...but I like my stylist Jesse more!. I spent a couple of good years as a satisfied Laicale Salon client, specifically for haircuts with Jesse Blodgett (he was recommended to me by a friend for my somewhat complicated short haircuts). However, I was saddened last month when I called Laicale to schedule a haircut and found out he was no longer there! They also would not provide me with forwarding information, as another poster has mentioned, but I guess that is common practice in the industry. Thankfully, I got really lucky and recently found him myself via Google plus the magic of social networking! He is now working at Blackstones on E. 7th Street in the Village, and I had a great haircut with him there the other night. The two salons are very different in concept, but I have no complaints about either one. I would have stayed a client at Laicale if Jesse were still there since I am stylist-loyal. But I am just so very happy to have my hair taken care of again by Jesse, who is not only very talented, but also a nice person.
Huge letdown after being loyal customer for 5yrs. I have been going to Jesse who is THE BEST for many years. I walked in yesterday for my haicut. They told me he was gone. Of course they refused to give further details or pass on his contact info. What angered me was that I got no phone call ahead of my appointment, talk about lack of respect of courtesy to a loyal customer!! Not only was I upset that Jesse was gone (which they claimed "just happened"), but the fact that they handled the situation so poorly left a bad taste in my mouth. How do you not inform the client who's coming in that day?? Also, they nonchalantly said they have another stylist set up for me. No offer of apology, or discount for inconvenience. I walked right out. Told them they lost my business for good.
RACHEL RULES!!.
hi all you new yorkers, i just had a great cut and highlight from rachel at laicale. i am loving my goldy locks and i am feeling good.
i just got dumped :( and i need to get back in the game. now i'm ready ;) thanks to rachel and laicale. everyone was super friendly and down-to-earth. see ya!
What a great place!.
I just went to Laicale for the first time a week ago, and I love it! Jesse was my stylist, and he is totally amazing- my hair has never looked so good. He is super sweet and really, really talented - I had so much fun getting my hair done by him. Its been a long time since I have been so pleased with a stylist, and I will definitely be going back to him again. He gave me the best bangs ever!
Also, the salon itself has a really cool atmosphere with wonderful people and great music. I fully recommend checking it out- and ask for Jesse!
