The Scene
Finding this hip sneaker store is no easy task. There's no sign and even the door is opaque, giving no hint of the goodies that lie beyond. (Even the business card says "Members Only" at the bottom.) Still, forge ahead and buzz the discreet doorbell. You'll be let into a foyer that leads to the store's actual entrance--you're in!
The Goods
The impressive collection of sneakers includes only classic designs, including obscure versions of familiar models. Handsome, polished wood cubbies display one shoe per compartment, and little spotlights keep the goods out of the shade. Check out the early-vintage Air Jordans (under $100), the classic-white Rod Lavers and the purple-and-green Adidas Samoas. This is also the place to go for the elusive Nike Air Woven--15 color schemes are given mouthwatering pride of place on the shelves, although only a couple are likely to be available.

though everyone comes here for all the rare edition of all the big brands like vintage air Jordans or woven nikes / adidas sambas, etc. i always check out their own line ALIFE, they are very hip and cool, best sneakers that can match anything. prices are okay. but if you really like them like i do, also check out century21 and daffy, sometimes i find alife there for only $20 a pair!!! PROS: great sneakers! CONS:

This shoe store is tucked away so it's very hard to find. It stocks ridiculously expensive sneakers for hipster shoe fanatics. This is not for the average joe looking for a new pair of running shoes. They stock vintage, rare and hard to find shoes by Nike, Adidas, Puma, Vans, etc.

It's small. You won't even notice it but it's right next to the other Alife store. It's the size of a shoe closet, with shoes on display like trophies which is a concept that you should relate with if you're here to buy them, it's a triumph to find and afford the sneakers they have to offer. And if you get there at the time of a new release it may well be worth the trip. PROS: Rare offerings CONS: Limited selection
