In Short
The prime downtown location means tourists and local aesthetes alike keep this two-story space crowded at almost all times, although the holidays are especially busy. Despite the hip interior and museum-worthy products, the MoMA Design Store is suprisingly affordable with plenty of novel gift items. Aalto vases make a swell couple-who-has-everything wedding present, the collection of modern jewelry could provide you with the perfect token for Mother's Day and the witty umbrellas (black on the outside, but lined with clouds) are a welcome break from bought-on-the-street numbers.

We love looking through all the books and postcards in this store. Its full of wonderful artful designs. Sleek - smooth, and cool. We love the things that they stock and it changes often.

Much better than the original MOMA Design Store, this branch is a worthy competitor to Moss et al. Sure, all these places seem to be drawing from the same stock these days, but this store is more spacious and friendlyh than most of its ilk.
