“The staff was amazing and made my week there feel comfortable and safe.”
“will say that the bar service was very poor and breakfast in the restaurant took to long.”
“Though there was a rather dated deli sandwich in our mini bar (which actually gave us a light-hearted laugh)and Hooter's-like waitresses that didn't even know how to make a Cosmopolitan (shame on you), our stay was great!”
“great place to be seen”
“The staff is great and our room had a great view.”
“The only con is that the room service is a bit expensive.”

cool hotel, but not really worth it.
the hotel has a really upscale, modern, chic feel, and is definitely the best W in NYC.
however, u still have informal agents- not that polite, lousy housekeeping at times, although the views are really good on the high floors.
such a cool hotel, too bad there's so much detriments...
Simply the best!!. The W Hotel in Times Square is simply the best. It is chic, trendy and the cater to your every need while your staying there. I was in awe. The decor is fabulous. The service was INCREDIBLE!!Basically if you didn't want to leave your hotel at all, there is a lounge called the Living Room, the Blue Fin restaurant where I will host a birthday party this Saturday and the The Whiskey which is the club inside the W. My family is still ranting and raving about it!! KUDOS to the staff as the W-the whatever, whenever service. I booked a room again for my mom's birthday. She can't wait!!
Great suite. Spent my honeymoon night here, great suite overlooking all of times square, and all of manhattan. It was on the twenty something floor. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and everything is clean. THe only con was the fact that a fire alarm bell rang the next morning. It was accidentally pushed, so i guess I can't blame the hotel for that. It's in the theatre district so you can certainly go to the TKTS booth and purchase tix for a show.
big, beautiful and reasonable. Staying in the W in times sq, I didnt have high expectations. I found myself delightfully suprised. Big rooms, very clean and plush all the while rasonably priced. I would recommend to my friends.
W this. Excellent atmosphere, great rooms, food and drinks. No better place in NYC to entertain; be ready to pay
Worst Hotel In NYC. Everything about this hotel is terrible. It has the same furniture it had years ago, their 'water room entrance', or whatever it's called has been turned off more then half of the times i've been there which is at least 15, the people at the front desk are not as helpful as they think they are, management is rude and unapproachable and thats only when you can actually find a manager to speak to, no sauna or steam room, they closed down the spa, its so dark you can't even see the numbers on the elevator, the guest rooms are about as big as an average baby nursery, which would be great if I was 21 inches tall and 9 pounds...but I'm not. I've stayed here many times, usually on business but I am done. This hotel offers no amenities at all. They used to be great, they used to have fantastic customer service, it was a trendy, fun, new environment, filled with cool, down to earth staff members, their were fabulous spa treatments for myself and my associates until they apparently closed the spa and tell me they're not opening a new one, the dynamic is all off. maybe it's poor managemnet, I don't know. But, what I do know, is, I'm never staying here again and I would suggest you go somewhere else to.
No Spa!?!?!?!? Now This Place Officially Bites!!. What junk!!! I called to book a spa appointement at the away spa in the W Hotel, Times Square for my stay next week and they tell me it closed down. How do you close down the spa in the hotel? I'm so upset, as I frequent this spa and have a great relationship with my massage therapist and skin care person. I asked the rude front desk person why it closed and they said "to expand the gym". I've stayed at this hotel many times...no one works out in that gym, I'm usually the only one their when I'm working out. I asked if I could get an in-room massage with my regular masseuse and they told me No, because all the away spa people were let go. Like I want some random weirdo whos experience and expertise is unknown coming into my hotel room and overcharging me?!? The spa was the only good thing this hotel offered and was the only reason I stayed in the hotel. Without it, it's just a cruddy hotel with old wanna-be trendy decor and sub-par service. I immediately cancelled my reservation and booked a room at the Westin Times Square instead. I refuse to spend all that money to be treated like garbage and not even get what I want. Now, the W in times square offers NO pool, NO sauna, NO steam room and now NO spa. there staff is rude, the furniture is old, the sheets are usually dirty with holes in them, they charge you an extra $20 for internet service and $25 for a hamburger with a stale bun...what's the point of staying here?? DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY on this place, go somewhere that will give you a more memorable experience. Shame on you W Hotel, I expected more from you!!!
Amazing Experience!!. This was my first time staying at a W Hotel and I absolutely loved it!! The decor is very modern and stylish and in the heart of Times Square. Rooms were very comfortable. The lounge, The Living Room, was trendy and upscale, great for drinks. The customer service was INCREDIBLE, the best I've ever had at a hotel! The people that helped us all weekend were friendly, remembered all of our names, and were willing to accomodate our every need. They were genuine and seemed as if they love what they do. The prices are steep, but so isn't everywhere else in Times Square. If you're looking for a fun and stylish hotel, I definately recommend staying at the W Times Square. I will definately be staying there from now on!
Lounge Bar. Rating applies to the barlounge area only. 4 Stars for diverse crowd which seem to change every hour.
Disappointing. I rated this as below average because there were some good things. The staff is great and our room had a great view. The hotel is right in the middle of everything and the bar area was nice. Drinks were expensive but very good. But for the not so great things. You figure if you are paying a ton of money to stay in a supposed high end hotel, that it should be incredible. Our room had various problems, cracked sink, stains on the blinds, the shower didn't close correctly so water constantly got on the floor, you could see where the shower was patched so part of it stuck out of the wall, the shower head came out of the wall and so did part of the pipe. The elevator and hallways are dimly lit, so you can hardly see anything. While walking around New York, I saw an econo-lodge and joked that we should have stayed there.
