Dancing with Tony and Melanie
by AngelTortoriello
The perfect location in Times Square for a dance studio with the personal feel of the country, The staff are exceptional , friendly and thoughtful.
What can be more exciting then a class and party with Tony Meredith and Melanie La Patin !
If we lived in the city, we would take class everyday at Dance Times Square.
NYC'S BEST BALLROOM DANCE STUDIO
by dancer4life16
From the moment I stepped into Dance Times Square, I was welcomed with open arms. I have been dancing since the age of 2 but have never taken ballroom dance lessons until 6 months ago when I purchased a Bloomspot offer for Dance Times Square. Ballroom dancing has always been a style of dance that intrigued me, I just was never given the opportunity to learn at previous dance studios growing up, or throughout college when I received my BFA in dance. I am so thankful that I found Dance Times Square. The instructors are excellent and everyone who works there is so warm and helpful! I am so happy and would recommend this studio to anyone who wants to learn ballroom dance. It is never too late to start dancing!
5 stars!

My former dance teacher Jamie Bayard (from So You Think You Can Dance; Season 4) told me about the studio when I expressed my concern that I was moving back to NY and didn't know where to continue learning all the different styles of ballroom that I wanted to learn. Well... I started out with a group class, then private lessons (with Stirling) and now I am hooked! I love it so much... the location, the people, the knowledge and talent of the instructors... as well as the growth that I have had thus far at the studio is priceless! Whether you are looking to further your dance training, learn how to social dance, or want to take a few lessons prior to your wedding-- this is the place to go!
TOTAL AWESOMENESS

After taking class here for over a year and half - all i can say is that everything here at Dance Times Square is FUN, great service, great space, great people...I am not much of a social person but being there really opened me up to being social and also becoming a better dancer. The Instructors and the staff there are really kind and courteous. They make you feel at home and also like your family....I was a bit nervous when i first started but - My instructor that i had was Stirling Taylor an awesome instructor who is well versed in many styles just as the other instructors who hold different titles from various dance comps around the world. If anything i would highly suggest Dance Times Square its also in the heart of dance times square which is great for those visiting and need to get away from the busy streets of NY.
Kudos

I came in here when I first moved to the city and was looking to meet new people. I was greeted warmly as soon as I walked in the door, shown where everything was and my instructor immediately introduced himself to me. It was very refreshing to have such great customer service. The group class I took was amazing and I signed up for several more! I'm also a big fan of the show "so you think you can dance" and it was pretty exciting to see Tony and Melanie at their home studio. Out of all of the studios I've been to in NYC, this is definitely the best one.
