What People Are Saying About Happy Ending

Happy Ending
Owner
Happy Ending's former life was an erotic massage parlor and has been transformed into a club with two floors, each with its own feel. The street level pays homage to the lounge ideal of the days of Frank Sinatra. Set-in red velvet booths offer just the right amount of privacy to engage in a little intimacy, but are public enough to hold court among an endearing crowd. Downstairs kitsch reigns among the original tiling and waist height shower heads, the sauna rooms turned private party coves and the original etched glass swan and naked female mirror. All combine for an intimate, almost indecent atmosphere that harkens back to a pre-Giuliani New York with a touch of 1960s Las Vegas. A diverse clientele drawn by the distinctive style, consistently good music and an over-abundance of sex appeal from their fellow patrons drink in the atmosphere nightly.

The Scene
This former massage parlor makes a swish stop in this swiftly gentrifying neighborhood. Lounge in banquettes on the ground floor, or descend to the DJ-ready basement, where the original steam rooms have been renovated as tiled booths. The name is a reference to the coy way in which the space's previous occupants used to offer clients a finale to their massage.
The Draw
The vibe is hip and fresh and attracts many of the fashion-forward young things who patronize the avant-garde boutiques nearby. One thing this otherwise excellent venue hasn't yet got right, though, is the house cocktail list. Play it safe and stick to the standards. The Cantonese Mule, with Ketel One, ginger beer and lime juice, is ruined by the addition of Chambord. The house mojito is cloying, although the H.E. martini--Grey Goose and a drizzle of Scotch whisky--shows promise.

I’ve probably walked past this place with the pink “Heath Club” awning several times during the day, never realizing that a cool club was hidden inside at night! My friend told me about it after going to a great birthday bash there and having a blast. Luckily, getting a reservation for a table was a breeze. The door staff was so cool and our waitress was really cute and nice. I discovered my new favorite drink on their menu, the Mr. Ginger, and drank them all night. It did get pretty crowded, but the security was really helpful and polite. I didn’t get the name of the DJ, but he played really fun music that had my friends singing and dancing all night. Leaving to go home was a little fuzzy, but I know we had a great time!

my friends and i met at happy ending for a night out. it was so crowed we couldn't even dance and it took us 30mins just to get to the bar, just to find out they are chargeing us full price for watered down drinks. i ordered a vodka and cranberry but i got a cranberry with a dash of vodka. i could have just said "get me a glass of cranberry", i asked the bartender "is this vodak and cranberry or just cranberry ?"and she said "yeah there is vodka in there." i could have stayed home and drank me some cranberry for less. well some people just don't know how to make drinks. there is no happy ending for me.

I recently had my B-day @ Happy Ending on 2/13. The place was packed with people and the crowd was mix. I enjoy happy ending since there wasn't any cover charge and you're able to reserve a table without bottle service. Since I had a group of 15 or more people, I had to reserve 2 booth tables. Because it was 2 booths and the tables were separate, the whole night I had to mingle back and forth btwn the 2 tables as my guest sat in 2 different booths. So if you have a party of 15 or more, I would not recommend getting a table with booths as they divide your guest in half. Also, when this place gets busy; be sure to wait 15-20 mins getting drinks upstairs. It's a good place to go if you enjoy the layed back atmosphere.
