“If you want all the bells and whistles try spending a few extra hundred dollars on the service you want and dropping a nice chunk of change in gratuities and you'll probably get exactly what you're looking for - - an expansive front lobby, over-the-top fr”
“rather enjoy the retail area--they have a lot of great merchandise--but I think the management would do well to think about a renovation that would shrink the size of the outer lobby in favor of more space in back, along with some better furniture choic”
“place with such good potential is already just another tired Chelsea store , due entirely to the help.”
“had an amazing massage at Nickel, but sadly, I would never return because of the horrible staff.”
“Gorgeous space, friendly staff”
“Their prices aren't too high for a "spa," but the "you are not pretty enough" attitude they give some customers is ridiculous.”
“After keeping me waiting for 30 minutes, they tell me they are waiting for clean sheets!”
highly recommended. I just had the perfect 60-minute Aromatherapy massage- highly recommended.
The location is perfect. I really love Nickel. The location is perfect (14th/8th). I've been getting massage/facials here for years.
The service is great. I have gone here several times for facials and massages. The service is great, the atmosphere relaxing and all in all a great experience every time.
it's been a smooth operation each time. Nickel (be sure you say it correctly - Ni-KELL, not NI-ckel) spa for men is, well, for men. The experience I have with them is that I've bought gift certificates on a few occasions - for my husband twice and once for my boss - and it's been a smooth operation each time. The atmosphere is crisp & clean, metallic & slick. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the spa menu is expensive - but that's reasonable for a NYC spa.
very friendly and helpful. I thought the staff were very friendly and helpful. They offered me the choice of tea or water. I chose the tea, which was only average. Then again, I wasn't here for the tea.
The prices for the massage was very reasonable. I would rather have a great massage at Nickel Spa rather than an average massage at any of the other places in the city that are all "prettied up" and over priced. The prices for the massage was very reasonable and well worth my coin.
I went here because I wanted a massage. I went here because I wanted a massage. Which by the way was fantastic.
disappointing.
Expected a real "spa" and was disappointed when I went for my massage appointment to learn that they
1) have no locker room (?!!)
2) have one gross shower you can use
3) offer very so-so massage
4) Once you go to the back where the massage/treatments are, the place is a complete dump
The whole point of a spa is to have a relaxing experience. I've never been to one where you can't change into a robe, and shower afterwards - even usually have a whirlpool.
great massage. I came to Nickel for a deep tissue massage, I am a professional athlete and need it...If you looking for a great massage, come see Oleg, he is awesome and knows his staff. I will deffinetely come back soon.
