Editorial Review for Flying A – by Nicole Weinstein
In Short
This store distinguishes itself from its Soho peers by offering downtown style at a reasonable price. Some serious browsing is required here, but with a little patience and a sharp eye, a few beloved items are sure to be found. Aside from the used Levis, battered T-shirts and '70s rabbit-fur jackets, there are plenty of brand-new items, ranging from bags to socks decorated with Japanese animated characters.

I LOVE their clothes! You can find one of a kind peices without the pressure of some snooty salesperson. The cothes are definitely more retro and very hip. You have to be patient and try things on, many items come in just small sizes, however, it's worth it to try on a few of the same style dresses to find one that fits. The staff is so friendly and the buyer obviuosly has a good eye for great vintage fashion. You can also get new clothing as well, that fits in with the cool vintage style of the store. I think this is one of my favorite stores in SOHO.

A shining example of affordable SoHo chic. They have one of the best stocks of Blue Marlin-wear, which is almost unheard of in the city, given most other stores have just bits and pieces of the collection. The sales people aren't pretentious. And in terms of marketing, they have a really cool shopping bag.
Pros: Nice Salespeople
