I just finished the yoga teacher training and it was one of the most touching and fulfilling experiences I ever had. Not only the environment of the studio is a match for me who was looking for a refuge on the city, but also each class from the program was a opportunity for self-discovering.

It is a haven for yoginis and yogis alike. The teachers were qualified and extremely knowledgeable. It challenged me, tested my endurance, and gave me the skills to continue and share my practice.

Yoga Teacher Training. I have just finished the teacher training at Atmananda. It was definitely a life changing experience. Through the difficulties of yoga poses, insights into anatomy and yoga philosophy, the program opened me in many ways. In a safe environment, the practice revealed to me everything from unprocessed feelings and emotions to ways to strengthen my body and mind. Amazing! Great excuse for a Texan to come to NY a few times a year. As soon as you enter the studio, you get a feeling of community and peace. The staff is friendly and professional, but also extremely versed in all the philosophies and branches of yoga. Jhon T.'s class is rigorous and disciplined, his knowledge of the body, yoga and its philosophies, and the human mind is very empowering for students. There are many teachers, all with different styles but the same level of expertise. There is definitely something for everyone. Whether you are interested in just a body workout, or whether you are interested in searching for yourself through a constant, serious, strong yoga practice, Atmananda is the place.
Place to Go for YTT. Holistic study to approach of Yoga; Flow (Vinyasa), Strength (Ashtanga) and Alignment (Iyengar) - all mindfully integrated into the Atmananda sequence. Jhon T has an amazing knowledge of the body and a clearly strong and developed practice as well as an understanding of concept, theory and philosophy.
