Tips for Garden of Eden

October 19, 2004

A truly amazing array of some of the best gourmet foodstuffs in the city.. The Scene
This meticulously clean and densely packed gourmet food store is a model of organization. Everything has its designated place, and despite the close quarters, navigation is relatively easy. Garden of Eden attracts both foodies from all over and neighborhood types who've stopped in to pick the very wise brains of the men and women in white coats who work here.

The Goods
As you walk in you pass the bakery; next comes the homemade bread area, featuring 20 different kinds of fresh bread. There's a smoked fish section, a cured meats area, a fresh seafood corner, an unbelievable cheese selection, wraps and sushi to go--even Cheerios. Try the food lines from famous chefs--Bobby Flay, Lidia Bastianch, Vong and Emeril to name a few.
